Oh my goodness the end really is in sight for me when it comes to this series! From initially hoping to finish watching it at the same time it ended broadcast to now nearing the finish line four freaking months after it actually ended, I’m kinda proud of myself for persevering since the twist from the previous episode really did gag me!
Anyway, on we go to this penultimate episode!
So, when we last left the guys, Deuk Chan the misunderstood homo crashed his car to try and kill himself after he got outed as a homosexual and a murderer. It was not a good day for Deuk Chan!

But we don’t immediately find out whether Deuk Chan was successful in killing himself because we have to find out if the heterosexual stars of the show survived the whole chase scene and car explosion. BORING. Let’s go back to the homosexual!
Deuk Chan is alive but is undergoing surgery to take care of the fractures he sustained during his attempted suicide. The police will have to question him once he recovers so we have to follow the heterosexuals around for a bit until that happens.
Sol Hee heads home and leaves Do Ha with Kang Min, as both guys are waiting for Deuk Chan to wake up. Now if this was a different form of media this would have an entirely different meaning but we’re watching a K-drama so it’s just two straight dudes talking about a girl blah blah blah bring back the homosexual.
Deuk Chan finally wakes up from surgery and he’s got Do Ha looming over him and unfortunately, it is not to declare his undying love. Deuk Chan finally shares what actually happened that night. He’d only come to check up on Seung Ju/Do Ha since he didn’t come to their football date that night but Eom Ji clocked Deuk Chan as a homosexual pining for a straight man.
Eom Ji tells Deuk Chan that she knows she tried to break her and Seung Ju up and Deuk Chan says it’s because Eom Ji “clung to him like a leech and made him miserable” and did I not say that whatever many posts ago? And then Eom Ji says Do Ha is in more danger with Deuk Chan around and bitch. I understand you Deuk Chan! You did what you had to do!

Deuk Chan didn’t even intend to kill Eom Ji! It was quite literally an accident! The cover up that followed was so Seung Ju/Do Ha wouldn’t be suspected of the crime and Deuk Chan even planned to turn himself in if Do Ha somehow ended up having to go to jail. And he wasn’t even going to come out of the closet to inconvenience Seung Ju/Do Ha! He was going to take everything to the grave! It was all just an accident!
Do Ha tells him that an apology won’t be enough to fix everyone that Deuk Chan hurt by staying in the closet — because honestly all of this could have been avoided if Deuk Chan just came clean about his feelings for Do Ha all those years ago — but also adds that those years must have been tough for Deuk Chan as well. The bare minimum acknowledgement from the straight guy. Couldn’t have let Deuk Chan cop a feel or something? He’s already going to jail!
After all we get a scene with Eom Ho and I am over it. There’s also some slight burnishing of Eom Ji’s image and it’s too late, show! You’ve spent way too many episodes making her look unhinged and it’s too late to walk that back now. But one interesting thing that does happen is that it appears that Sol Hee has lost her ability! Just in time to get together with the rich male lead!
There’s some heterosexual stuff that happens and I am sorry that this is all ending up like this but I was very upfront in the previous post. This is now a Deuk Chan blog and there’s nothing to be done about it! Like okay Min Hyun’s cute and all but I am over the heterosexuality. It’s tired! It’s expired!
Like…there’s a scene involving Sol Hee’s mom and I’ve made it clear more than once that she is not my favorite character. There’s also confirmation that Sol Hee’s lost her powers but so freaking what? Syaon’s also trying to hook up Do Ha with a job but Do Ha says he has plans of his won when it comes to his career and I do a little eye roll because oh he’s a serious musician now so he doesn’t do idol music anymore? And Chi Hoon the idol fanboy actually gets his dream of getting close to Syaon come true? What in the gay hell gimme a break and bring back the homo!
