With each new episode of the current season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, we’re either getting closer and closer to the finale or Shannel finally losing it as still not having badges five episodes in.

Let’s go watch this episode and see what has a higher chance of happening!

In the previous episode, Roxxxy and Miss Vanjie both won the Maxi Challenge and both of them decided to cut off Angeria. This gives Angeria the dubious distinction of being the first one in the season to be cut off twice.

The leaderboard is now also looking quite a bit different. Gottmik isn’t the only one at the top anymore, as Roxxxy and Vanjie both have two badges just like her. It really was foolish of Nina to give Roxxxy a badge because Roxxxy is going to win something sooner rather than later.

Nina realizes it immediately once they go back to the Werk Room after the challenge, and I quote: “I may have made a mistake.” She realizes that if she doesn’t end up in the finale because Roxxxy goes on to win another challenge, then all the fault lies solely on her shoulders.

Angeria comes back to the Werk Room and she is not feeling getting cut off twice. She shares that the cut off this time around felt personal and quite frankly, it was. Roxxxy said so herself in the confessional of the previous episode!

To Angeria’s credit, she doesn’t stew in her emotions and keeps it locked in. She is upfront with the rest of the girls that this cut stung. Roxxxy says it wasn’t personal but just an eye for an eye thing and…doesn’t that make it personal? But her other reasons are valid. Nina gave her a badge so she can’t block her, Shannel hasn’t won a badge and it would be a dick move. Vanjie couldn’t cut Gottmik because she gave her a badge. Angeria feels like it’s bullshit and I kinda agree when it comes to Roxxxy saying it wasn’t personal.

I thought it was going to stop there but Roxxxy brings up the fact that Angie ignored a hug from her onstage at the end of the challenge. Angie says she was just in her feelings and Roxxxy says she still loves her but the music is telling us neither of this is true.

While that is stewing Shannel brings up what happened in the previous episode when Gottmik accused her and Angeria of forming an alliance against her. Nina shares that she even consciously made sure to cheer on both Roxxxy and Vanjie during the lip sync just so no one would think she was picking one over the other and Plastique points out that does that mean they have to be mindful about who they cheer?

Gottmik says the queens can cheer for whoever they want, but it’s just that there were whispers that Shannel and Angeria were working together against her and Shannel asks where the whispers are coming from and Roxxxy sorta fesses up? Honestly, I am feeling exactly like Shannel. I’m lost.

The next day doesn’t clear things up for me either because the Teletubbies are here? Is this bitch for real?

Anyways, the mini challenge is a dance-off that the Teletubbies are going to judge along with RuPaul, I guess. I’ve never taken psychedelic mushrooms in my life ever and I guess this is what it feels like. Gottmik wins the challenge and now she’s raised $22,500 for Trans Lifeline. Honestly, because of all the horrible stuff trans people have been subjected to before, during, and after this season was filmed? Fully deserved. They probably are setting Gottmik up to win the whole season even.

This week’s Maxi Challenge is the queens making real estate commercials and since she’s been blocked twice already, Ru gives Angeria the power to choose her partner and pair up the other queens as well. Angeria goes with Vanjie and then pairs Gottmik with Jorgeous, Nina with Shannel, and Roxxxy with Plastique which really is very fair, I think.

They start picking out the properties they want to advertise and Angeria and Roxxxy’s group are planting the seeds for further drama because Angeria and Vanjie want to do the Everglades and Plastique ALSO wants to do the Everglades. Roxxxy is cool with whatever so it’s Angeria’s group that ends up with the Everglades.

The teams start working on their storyboards and Gottmik and Jorgeous are apparently forgetful little divas. And unfocused as well because they were literally distracted by a pen. Meanwhile, Shannel and Nina are clearly taking on set roles as Nina starts writing the script while Shannel starts bringing out clothes.

Angie and Vanjie do seem to have all their ducks in a row, so to speak, because they are vibing and coming up with ideas quickly. Swamp Pussy Realty? I would buy a house from a company named like that! And now the earlier seed of drama is starting to bloom because Roxxxy and Plastique look like they have the same ideas as Angie and Vanjie.

They start shooting the commercials and while Shannel and Nina appear to have a lot of real estate knowledge, it doesn’t seem like it’s funny? At least from the clips we were shown? Angie and Vanjie are up next and I literally LAUGHED OUT LOUD at “Swamp Pussy Realty, where we keep it in the family!” combined with their ridiculous looks and dance.

Roxxxy and Plastique don’t do as well, at least initially, but they get it together in the end. Jorgeous and Gottmik, meanwhile, don’t seem to have any of their ducks or any other birds in order because it’s…not good. They’re lucky there’s no eliminations!

They next day, Jorgeous feels good about her and Gottmik’s work so maybe it was just shady editing? But then again it could also be delusion on Jorgeous’ part. Or maybe she’s just high! But all the queens feel like they did well so what is the truth?

That seed of drama planted early on continues to bloom as Plastique mentions that Angie and Vanjie were dressed similarly to them during the commercial filming. Vanjie hears Roxxxy critiquing the accent they chose for the ad and there is an exchange as Vanjie and Roxxxy debate what a real Floridian is. Which the internet has taught me is mainly being Florida man.

The runway theme is Ruveals with Nina up first and…okay. I love Nina West but this outfit really isn’t it. Any of them. And I’m not even fashionable like that but come on.

Shannel is a marked improvement but she comes before Plastique and Plastique is just gorgeous. The ruveal wasn’t the smoothest or the best but Plastique’s body goes a long way towards making you forget that.

Roxxxy’s outfit wasn’t my fave either but I liked that she didn’t leave any pieces on the runway for her ruveal. Gottmik’s was fun but it wasn’t really a moment, if that makes sense? Angie and Vanjie’s were okay too.

We finally get to see the commercials and Nina’s and Shannel’s wasn’t that bad and actually got some jokes in! Roxxxy’s and Plastique’s were also okay but I feel like the judges found it much more funny than I did. Meanwhile, Gottmik and Jorgeous’ ad wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Angie and Vanjie really did well with there’s as well.

The critiques start and the judges really loved Plastique and Roxxxy’s work so maybe my sense of humor is just different? It’s not that I didn’t find their video funny it’s that I didn’t find it as funny as the judges say it is. Oh well!

Gottmik and Jorgeous are rightfully called out for their lacking advertisement and Jorgeous even gets to cry about it but truly I think the judges were very fair and even softened it up a bit. Meanwhile, Angie and Vanjie get praised for their work but I already feel like they’re going to lose to Roxxxy and Plastique because they didn’t get praised as much as those two did.

Roxxxy and Plastique end up as the top two of this episode and lip sync to Nicki Minaj and…well, it happened. I don’t think Plastique even mouthed the words? So it’s no wonder that Roxxxy won this one. But both of them really didn’t bring it to be honest.

AND THEN WE GET THE GOODS. Roxxxy does this whole thing where she picks who the next snippee (?) is without looking at who she’s picking and she ends up picking Angeria again and Angeria is rightfully going “Is this bitch serious?” OF COURSE, Roxxxy doesn’t want that and chooses to snip Gottmik instead and she ends up distraught about it. And then Gottmik comforts Roxxxy about her decision. This is hilarious.
