Oh my god, I had a busy day at work yesterday and couldn’t sneak in an episode to watch. But I’ve woken up really early today and I think I can squeeze in an episode before I have to work. Let’s do this!
We were left with a cliffhanger in the previous episode, with Shun saying that he saw some of Dai’s bad aspects. What could they be? Is he still hung up on the “extreme” dating app pics?
The episode immediately opens to Dai waking up Shun by cuddling him and I did not expect to run into malicious gay faggotry here so early in the episode?
But we move on and we finally get to see Usak take on a coffee truck shift. With Taeheon, Alan, and Kazuto not in the house currently, Usak chooses to work the shift with Dai and SHUN’S FACE I’M CACKLING.
However, Usak really didn’t have Dai in mind when picking a partner, as he had wanted to choose my man Kazuto instead. Even on his first night he knew Kazuto was his type and that he already has a crush on him. Will this be the storyline of the episode?
After their shift, Usak and Dai earn ¥8,200 — sorry this is one thing I’m fixated with — and Usak reveals that he still hasn’t adapted to everyone in the house. He’s not the aloof go-go boy in real life, he says, but he’s more timid and average.
But of course since he’s not the star of this show we get back to the house and see more Shun and Dai shenanigans. Is Shun sick again? That headache again? Will we get more hurt/comfort? It gives Dai a chance to squeeze his legs and stuff though.
Kazuto finally comes back to the house after five days away and Alan immediately locks onto him. Alan is a man of taste and refinement! But does this mean there’s going to be an Alan-Usak-Kazuto triangle? I mean throuples exist!
Alan finally gets to work the coffee truck this time around BUT there’s a new twist as the guys now have to say if they want to work with Alan or not. If more than one guy wants to work with him, Alan gets to choose who he works with.
And heartbreak of all heartbreaks, Kazuto doesn’t pick Alan. Alan has to choose between Taeheon, Ryota, and Usak and he ends up working his shift with Taeheon instead. And judging from what we get shown Alan really is quite the charmer if only Kazuto would give him the time of day.
Usak, on the other hand, seizes the opportunity and tries to get to know Kazuto better. And I gotta agree with the panel here, Usak is boring. No hate intended but come on now, even I can get a conversation going better than this! To Usak’s credit, he’s also painfully, painfully aware at his lack of conversation skills.
AND EVEN MORE TO USAK’S CREDIT KAZUTO IS INTO IT. Kazuto did say that he’s more into people who aren’t too perfect, as evidenced by the time he said he wouldn’t mind a belly on a guy. Kazuto is the real catch here I swear.
But it’s a rollercoaster situation for Usak in the house as, once again, his chicken intake is a point of contention. Usak seems like a teddy bear who wouldn’t hurt a fly but I just can’t get behind the chicken shake. I’M SORRY USAK.
Alan tries to be the mediator and suggest using the profits from their coffee truck to cover some of Usak’s chicken expenses and I do wonder about that. What have they been spending the money on? But anyway, the house agrees to do that and Kazuto even says he’ll come up with money-saving recipes to make up for it and boy if Usak doesn’t bend over for that I don’t even know. THIS IS A KAZUTO STAN ACCOUNT.
Usak gets to work the coffee truck again and just like with Alan, it’s the guys who get to volunteer. And just like with Alan, Kazuto doesn’t raise his hand and Usak has to choose between Taeheon and Alan instead. Poor Usak thinks Kazuto doesn’t like him at all and chooses to work with Alan instead.
At their location, there’s a literal fuckton of people and Alan charms them all into buying some coffee and juice from their coffee truck. But they only earned ¥6,100 and come on you guys. When Kazuto was working the coffee truck the earning almost reached ¥10,000!
After their shift, Usak shares his misgivings about the house and how he doesn’t feel like he’s fitting in. Alan is definitely being the supportive homie and tells Usak that he’s kind and considerate and that he should like that about himself.
The next day, Usak is drinking his chicken smoothie while Shun continues to sulk over I don’t know what. Maybe to get Dai to snuggle up to him? I’m really not into this hot-and-cold thing that he’s trying to do right now. And then we get the Shun’s feet in Dai’s crotch scene that’s everywhere online and the MALICIOUS GAY FAGGOTRY HAS TO STOP.
Even Dai is getting sick of the sulking routine and honestly? I don’t blame him! I don’t think this would have worked on me when I was in my 20s and it definitely wouldn’t have worked on me today in my…advanced age. Life’s too short, we’re all going to die! Be gay!! Drink vodka!! Do crimes!!

Kazuto is the one manning the coffee truck this time around and is it weird that I’m excited about how much they’ll probably earn? I’M A PEWR STUCK IN THE JAWS OF CAPITALISM SUE ME.
Obviously, a lot of the guys want to work with Kazuto. Usak and Alan are a given, but Ryota and SHun are also down to do so and the editing is foul for showing Dai’s reaction, show me more. And Kazuto disappoints me for the first time by picking Shun. Like…look around, man. There are other options! But then he explains that he didn’t pick Usak and Alan because that would mean they worked two days in a row and THIS REMAINS A KAZUTO STAN ACCOUNT.
On the way to the venue Kazuto asks how things are going with Dai and Shun says nothing is going on and the gay gasp I gasped? But then Shun amends it, saying that they’ve been on a date but he thinks they don’t have chemistry since Dai is high-energy while he’s low-key. It’s the golden retriever-black cat energies trope.
Back in the house, Dai is getting a foot massage from Usak. The two talk about what’s going on between Dai and Shun and Dai says Shun’s energy is a refreshing change of pace AND DID I NOT SAY MULTIPLE POSTS AGO THAT EVERYTHING SHUN IS DOING IS AN INVITATION TO GUYS LIKE DAI. Shun, baby, you are as much a player as Dai is!
During what I am assuming is later on in the day, Alan tells the guys that he’s attracted to Kazuto and Usak is immediately intimidated because Alan is more fun to be around. At least from everything we’ve been shown onscreen.
The coffee truck shift is over and BAM they come back with ¥11,000 in earnings. Kazuto is the top pick come on you guys! HE IS THE CATCH. On the way back home, Shun says the guys have been trying to figure out who Kazuto is into and if I go all the way back to the first episode, he sent a letter to Dai but then again so did Ryota and Ryota has been making eyes at Shun. It’s not a good indicator!
On the way back, Kazuto texts Alan that he wants to chat with him and WHAT? So in so many words Kazuto tells Alan that he wants to work with him and Alan is relieved that what he’s feeling is one-sided and there’s a hilarious shot of Shun and Ryota looking out the window at Kazuto and Alan.
AND THEN USAK GOES OUT TO TALK WITH KAZUTO AFTER SOMEONE FROM THE GROUP REMARKS THAT WHOEVER MAKES THE MOVE WINS. THE MALICIOUS GAY FAGGOTRY IS OFF THE CHARTS.
Usak just flat out says that Kazuto is his type and I CRIE? FINALLY MY MAN KAZUTO GETTING THE ATTENTION HE DESERVES. Kazuto is shocked and he says his brain froze the moment Usak says he wants to connect with him. Usak says he wants to go on a date with him and Kazuto can’t believe it.
The MALICIOUS GAY FAGGOTRY continues at the dinner table, when Alan says he’s never believed in love at first sight but he did feel a spark when he first saw Kazuto. He said his heart raced and MY GHAD THESE HOMOSEXUALS. Your move Usak! And from the way he’s scratching his chin it seems like he’s completely outmatched.
AND THEN RYOTA REVEALS THAT HE MAY BE INTO KAZUTO NOW. GODDAM. He’s just jumping from guy to guy! And since Alan and Usak have already made their moves, Ryota takes the plunge as well and messages Kazuto to tell him that they need to talk and Ryota comes right out and says it too! KA-ZU-TO KA-ZU-TO KA-ZU-TO! I believed in you right from the moment you showed up!
Because the production is nasty, the coffee truck doesn’t operate the next day and instead the guys are told that they can have a sleepover date. Well, a pair can have a sleepover date — if they match up. Shun and Dai is a foregone conclusion however much Shun sulks but what is exciting is who Kazuto will pick between Ryota, Usak, and Alan. I love mess.
The message says more than one pair will go on a date but they did that with the previous Shun and Dai date so I’m not buying it. ANYWAYS THE FIRST PAIR IS KAZUTO AND THE FUCKING CLIFFHANGER.
