A new episode is here and oh my goodness I actually have time to watch it at almost the same time as everybody else? Let’s not bother with an introduction and let’s get right into it!
The last episode left most of the guys in a bit of a pickle. The Confused Homosexual Trio™ of Shun, Gensei, and Ryota are still very much confused, with Ryota still pining for Kazuto when Gensei’s right in front of him and Shun trying to convince himself that Dai approaching him with a large banana in hand doesn’t get him going.
This new episode opens with the guys already at the house and Ikuo quite confidently keeping Dai occupied. Then we get Shun quite flagrantly ignoring Dai calling out to him. I think this was before the picnic because they had the asparagus thingies Kazuto was cooking. Either way OOOHHHH THE COLD SHOULDER.
Oh wait Alan makes it clear that the dinner is after the picnic. So this is Shun sulking even more after Dai’s big banana approach back during the picnic. I’m sorry, I know Shun has got a fanbase but I won’t be counted among them. I’ve had it, officially.
But of course, Dai is still trying to make things work, telling Shun that he felt like he left him alone at the picnic. JESUS CHRIST YOU’RE JUST FRIENDS WHY ARE YOU OVERLY CONCERNED ABOUT LEAVING HIM ALONE IN A PICNIC WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE. He’s part of the Confused Homosexual Trio™ he’ll be fine!
Apparently, Shun has also had it and tells Dai that he’s done. He’s not even going to listen to anything else Dai has to say. But apparently this means that Shun is starting to like him, according to Dai? I feel lost, did I miss something here? What happened? He then explains Shun being unable to express himself just look so cute to him and what did I say about Shun knowing exactly what he’s doing? And that he clearly knows the type of guys he’s attracting. You can’t fool the doll!
Meanwhile, the other two members of the Confused Homosexual Trio™ are as confused as ever. Ryota is making a cafe mocha for Kazuto and Gensei very pointedly says that he thought that a “Gensei exclusive”. In the confessionals, Gensei says he doesn’t know what to say and I know you didn’t ask for my advice Gensei but Ryota is very dense so go ahead and fondle his balls. Maybe he’ll get the message then! He says he feels like his role here is done and I say you get your mouth around Ryota’s dick!
The next day the boys are told that the coffee truck is closed and that they’re going to a racetrack and you definitely see Ikuo’s golden retriever energy. Anyways, it’s not just any old race as whoever wins the go-kart competition will get to tell one person to fulfill their wish.
The confessionals then go into a little bit of the tangled love lines in the house. Dai wants to go out with Shun. Gensei wants to talk with Ryota. Ryota wants to go on a date with Kazuto. Taeheon wants to know why his first thought is Kazuto. Alan wants to try talking with Alan again. Kazuto isn’t sure about what he wants, while the production doesn’t reveal who Ikuo wants to spend more time with but I’m betting it’s Dai. Shun doesn’t know what he wants but I honestly do not care. I am OVER IT.
Ikuo wins his round against Shun, Taeheon, and Kazuto, while Ryota wins against Dai, Alan, and Gensei. The final lap is with Ikuo, Shun, Ryota, and Dai and Shun wins this one! AND HE DOESN’T HAVE A WISH. It is infuriating but also kinda cunt? Dai is probably hard right now.
Back at the Green Room, Shun asks Ikuo what his first impression was of the guy he’s interested in and he says that he hasn’t gauged his feelings yet but he’d like to find out more about the guy by talking to him more. He also delivers the same “Go get it!” speech that Usak shared during his departure. Ikuo is definitely assertive and says he’s not going to stop until the person he’s interested in is interested in him as well.
After that speech we get a scene of Ikuo waiting for someone outside the house and that someone is…Kazuto. Damn, he’s got everybody falling for him! I fully thought he was into Dai! I wanna give the producers props for successfully tricking me with this one!
Apparently, Ikuo was already into Kazuto right from the coffee truck meet-up. Then he fucking throws in a line that has me laughing with kilig: “Kazuto…do you mind if I fall in love?” Jesus Christ I wasn’t that confident when I was 22.
To Kazuto’s credit, he is very measured in his response to Ikuo, telling him that he maybe wants to get to know him because he’s only seen the superficial parts of him. If Ikuo still likes him after spending time with him, great, but Kazuto says he doesn’t know Ikuo at all…and that he wasn’t really trying. But just like with Alan, the straightforwardness works on Kazuto and he wants to get to know Ikuo better. Let’s just hope that there’s a limit to Ikuo’s straightforwardness because he might end up like Alan as well.
Kazuto continues to be mature in the confessionals, saying that while he’s flattered that Ikuo thinks he loves him, it’s a little hard to accept that considering they only know each other superficially. Anyways take a look at Kazuto’s tits.
The next day, Alan is dressing up Kazuto while Ryota is off to do a makeup shoot. It’s Ikuo’s turn to work the coffee truck today and just like the previous shifts, people have to volunteer to work with him. But there’s a twist this time around since he can choose two people to work with.
The three people who volunteer are Taeheon, Kazuto, and Alan and I know that it’s a foregone conclusion that he’ll pick Kazuto but Ikuo pick Taeheon too he needs more screen time! as Ikuo stands up to decide who he’s going to work with Alan is shooting daggers from his eyes and maybe he was right to do so because Ikuo only picks Kazuto.
On the way to their location Ikuo tells Kazuto that when he’s with a guy, yes he does the cooking, yes he does the cleaning, yes he keeps the na-na real sweet for the eating. And you know what, Ikuo looks real good with a baby in his arms so maybe it wouldn’t be so bad for Kazuto to get to know him better.
Meanwhile, back at the Green Room, Shun is asking Dai why he didn’t volunteer to work with Ikuo and Dai says he felt it wasn’t right to work with him. And I’m so over this protracted song and dance and hot and cold routine between these two either just fully break up or fuck, fuck.
Taeheon gets a smidgen of screen time and asks Kazuto why he raised his hand to work with Ikuo and as he is won’t to do says he did it because Kazuto raised his hand. He wants to talk to him and maybe smooth things over after that ill-fated overnight date.
Back at the coffee truck, the day’s earning are at ¥6,900, which is quite a small amount when Kazuto’s part of the team. I feel like this does not bode well for Ikuo. I feel it even more when Ikuo tells Kazuto that he felt supported by him during their shift and Kazuto bluntly responds that he didn’t support him at all. Goddam. They also catch sight of…something? in the sky? What was that?
At the Green Room, Dai has got both his hands on the back of Shun’s head and I feel like I’ve watched this porno before but it’s just a massage it’s not going to lead to anything else, surely. Dai says he’s using skinship to show Shun that he’s into him and I feel like Gensei should be listening to this as well and at least flick Ryota’s nipples or something.
The next day, Kazuto is once again manning the coffee truck and I’m feeling tired for him. And then everybody wants to work with him. Kazuto’s rizz is unbeatable. Kazuto ends up picking Alan and Gensei and Ryota what else do you need before you wake up.
Both Ikuo and Ryota aren’t feeling the best after Kazuto’s picks. Ryota’s at the point of crying and now he doesn’t even have Gensei doting over him. If you’d just look his way Ryota you’d have somebody fondling your balls by now!
Back at the Green Room, Ikuo’s listing down all the things he likes about Kazuto and Ryota is dying. After that whole discussion Ryota is back at the room texting Kazuto and babe. Babe. This is not a good look for you.
The Kazuto, Alan, and Gensei trio end with ¥11,450 in sales and I feel like Ikuo should just give up at this point because you’re probably the only shift partner Kazuto was with where the sales were uncharacteristically low. It’s not meant to be.
But then again Kazuto says he picked Alan because he hasn’t worked with him yet so maybe nobody in the house has a chance with Kazuto. I firmly believe that Usak’s departure in episode five propelled him to the top of the ranks when it comes to Kazuto’s heart.
Later that night, Shun and Dai are shirtless in the living room touching on each other and I thought this was a classy establishment? Is Netflix showing me pornography? Where are the modesty pixels? They’re hugging each other in the hallway while Shun’s just in his underwear and good golly where is the decorum? What happened to hello, how are you, my name is?
Most of the boys plan to get drunk that night, except for Gensei who prefers to be sober when he’s expressing himself and Alan who would prefer having a longer dinner instead and for once I relate to Shun because circular conversations like the group seems to be having often does send me to a negative space.
That conversation is broken up by the announcement that Dai will be working the coffee truck shift today. Ikuo and Kazuto volunteer to work with him and Dai chooses Ikuo. And once again Shun is sulking and the teased confrontation is not getting me pumped for the next episode at all.
