Ron Watches Are You Sure? Episode 4

I am right on time today! Thank goodness for leaves and public holidays! Let’s get right into this new episode!

When we left the boys in Jeju in the previous episode, they had just enjoyed an afternoon of go-karting and I was experiencing a little bit of nostalgia for a youth that is never coming back.

This new episode starts out with the boys driving to a new location and I gotta say the view of the Jeju sky is definitely enticing me to visit. It looks gorgeous but if I may be allowed to boast a bit, some destinations here in the country are just a beautiful. If only they weren’t so hard to go to.

The new destination is an omakase restaurant is tucked away in a pretty secluded area, so much so that Jimin was even doubting they were heading to the right place when they were driving.

Here’s me being uncultured — I have never tried out an omakase before. It seems like such a peaceful way to eat at a restaurant, and that’s even factoring in Jungkook bouncing around because apparently the food is that good.

Taehyung isn’t bouncing around as much not because the food isn’t hitting, but because all the headbanging they did earlier in the day has now resulted in him having a little neck pain. And it’s just so Jimin to just massage and work on that pain until it’s gone.

Meanwhile, Jungkook is just devouring these dishes and as always, he eats so well that I kinda wanna try those dishes now too? Seems like they’re delicious! Also, it’s a little funny seeing the older members trying to do the whole YouTuber thing Jungkook is doing with the food.

I also was a little moved that they still think about the other members even when they’re doing what is supposed to be their “own” stuff. While their eating, Taehyung asks why Namjoon wasn’t here and Jungkook jokes that not just anybody can get on the show. And then Taehyung calls Namjoon and asks for a copy of “Untitled”, the song that he sang at Yoongi’s “D-Day” concert in Seoul, which would eventually become “Come Back to Me”.

After that, stream “Come Back to Me” on Spotify!

And then to hear Taehyung say he wants to be a musician like Namjoon someday? My heart.

Taehyung, being the biggest ARMY ever, plays Jimin’s “Alone” next, and we learn a little more about Jimin’s mindset when he wrote this song. Taehyung even correctly pinpoints the moment in their lives when Jimin began writing this song, that’s how much these guys have become in tune with each other.

The boys arrive back at their accommodation and Jungkook and Jimin get into the pool and make full use of the fact that there’s a portion of it that is see-through. How in the world can they stay underwater for that long? Oh, to have the lung capacity of young people!

The next day, Taehyung wakes up with his neck still hurting and my goodness how hard did you headbang the day before? It looks like it really took him out because he didn’t even join in on the swimming pool shenanigans the night before.

While the two older members are recovering, Jungkook gets a call from his mom who asks if he’s going to come home for Chuseok and the whole conversation is practically the same on I have with my mom? Yes, I know this isn’t groundbreaking stuff, moms are the same all over the world but lemme enjoy this moment, okay?

There’s also a couple of product placements there and you know I love me a product placement screenshot but I can’t do that on Disney+ so there’s that. It’s a vitamin drink and a moisturizing thing that the boys use in between discussions of how to pluck Jimin’s mustache. And I use the word mustache very loosely because it’s barely there.

Now that they’re all refreshed, the boys head off to breakfast at yet another restaurant. And we even get a TaeKook sorta skit on the way there. Just inadvertently funny, these guys.

They arrive at the spicy braised chicken restaurant and it looks like this episode is going to be a mukbang episode because the boys are once again really getting into eating that chicken. Jungkook’s even punching the table and everything, just from the smell. Jimin gets so into eating that by the time the friend rice arrives he got a barrette holding his hair back so it doesn’t get into the food.

In the midst of all the eating we also get a little insight into the Bangtan dogs. The biggest reveal for me is how Jimin took care of Yeontan for a week and now he’s feeling bitter that Yeontan doesn’t remember that week anymore. Taehyung has to remind him that Yeontan is already seven years old, which is middle age in human years.

Now this truly is a mukbang episode because after breakfast the boys are off to have some coffee at a nearby café. And it’s a pretty artistic café, from the look of it. There’s even a café cat that Jimin immediately latches on to. When they sit in one corner of the café I immediately recognize it as that one where they shared photos of either in Instagram or Weverse, I can’t remember!

After the café, the boys are off to yet another destination. This time, they’re going on a yacht, and Jungkook makes sure to note that Jin would have loved this.

Even before the yacht starts sailing, the boys are already monkeying around, with Jungkook accidentally bringing back Grubby Jungkook from Bon Voyage to Jimin making sure they all look grubby. There’s also a couple of head bumps on the way to and at the snorkeling area.

Taehyung begs off of snorkeling, so it’s just Jimin and Jungkook showing us the beautiful coral reefs of Jeju. They even get to encounter some fish thanks to the fish feed they’re given but I have to admit these old eyes honestly couldn’t see where those fish were.

After swimming with the fishes, the boys now decide to catch some of them. Neither one of them really knows how to, so Jin really would have been good on this trip and actually would have shown the boys how to fish.

Which reminds me to remind you guys to stream “Super Tuna” on Spotify!

Check out the sorta music video below!

The boys don’t get to catch fish until later on, when one of the drones filming them unexpectedly sacrifices itself to the ocean, which was apparently enough to satisfy the sea gods because Taehyung ends up catching two fish at the same time.

With that catch, the guys decide to watch the sunset on the ship’s bow — again I’m going from what Google told me — and it really is such a picture perfect scene and boy I wish I could go on trips like that with my friends.
