Ron Watches Are You Sure? Episode 5

I still have a job obligation I need to do but the website where I’m supposed to it is taking a buttload of time to load so I’m using this time to sneak in a watch of the latest episode of Are You Sure?

The previous episode saw eat, fish, and just enjoy their time on a yacht? Boat? on Jeju Island, and the boys Jeju adventure continues as they head on over to a restaurant after their afternoon on the yacht.

Jimin is the designated order taker for the group and I wanna say that Jungkook and I share the same fondness for steamed eggs. Those things are delicious to me I don’t care what anybody else says.

The meat arrives and it’s a fucking slab, Jesus Christ. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a slab of meat that thick in a restaurant before but then again I am a pewr so maybe I am just not at the right restaurants.

The steamed egg arrives as the pork that Jungkook is grilling starts to look golden and delicious and that bowl of steamed egg is looking gorgeous and delicious as well. I want one! I actually wish you could screenshot on Disney+ because the close-ups on the pork and the other food on the table is just getting me hungry.

While the guys eat what seems to be a really delicious dinner, Jimin notices that the crew hasn’t eaten yet and decides to make the perfect ssam with Jungkook’s help but hilariously, his efforts are all for naught as the crew stands up to finally eat. The ssam goes to Jungkook instead, who then goes on to make a soju tornado, I guess? before serving it to Jimin.

As the dinner progresses, they begin talking about their handsomeness relative to each other, with Jin of course automatically considered the handsomest by the three. And then we get a sequence of the guys’ family photos over the years and it’s a little bittersweet? I dunno, maybe I’m just being overly sentimental.

We find out that this Jeju trip is two months before they go in the military, and I’m happy to hear that at least Jimin and Jungkook were confident that their friendship would stand the test of the Korean military system. I hope you guys are doing great in the military right now!

The guys finally finish eating dinner and then now we get video of Jungkook with a dog that isn’t Bam? Who is this dog? Why are you running with it in the middle of the night? What is happening? How does Bam feel?

After spending time with the puppy who isn’t Bam, the boys finally head back to their accommodation. Along the way, we get treated to Taehyung’s music selection skills as well as Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook’s voices. Oh to be in that car with them.

Once they arrive back in the accommodations the shirts immediately come off and this is probably the sole heterosexual thing I share with them although I would argue that this is just being human. Once you’re home, the shirts, the bras, they all come off.

The guys are back to fooling around in the pool and Jimin is finally not having poop problems or feeling tired and is ready to engage in a full-on water gun battle with Taehyung and Jungkook. They also engage in other pool shenanigans and I am so jealous of their skill to stay underwater? Like with that Jungkook “taking a nap” at the bottom of the pool? I can’t do that! And to be quite honest, I can’t swim either.

After their time in the pool Jimin and Jungkook start flicking each other with their towels and my god. I know I’ve seen a porno start out exactly like this.

The next morning, we get to see Jimin and Jungkook’s morning routines — Taehyung left earlier in the morning and the group decided they’d just meet up at the restaurant — and I am definitely more of a Jungkook in the morning than I am a Jimin.

They finally meet up at the restaurant and it serves only one menu and I’m interested to know what it is. I’ve only ever been to a one-menu restaurant once and that was in Hanoi several years ago and that friend fish dish was so delicious. I can say what it’s called but I have no idea how to spell it!

As the guys wait for their food both Jimin and Jungkook declare that they look bad on camera and I’m just left thinking that if they look bad, what does that make me? The crypt keeper?

The food arrives and while I don’t recognize any of it because I’m uncultured my ears do perk up at the items being refillable. I am patay-gutom, there’s no denying it. Also, the utterly ridiculous ham/pink sausage debate? I’ve had a breakfast like with family and friends before.

After that huge breakfast — Jungkook could probably eat somebody out of house and home — the boys head back home. And what does Jungkook do as soon as they’re back? Start cooking beef shank stew. My god that stomach is cavernous.

But the stew isn’t just for him! It’s for his hyungs and perhaps most touching, for the crew as well. Jungkook even “threatens” the crew if they don’t eat. It’s something that he’s done so many times in so many different kinds of BTS content that I just can’t help but feel like a proud parent.
