Ron Watches Agatha All Along Episode 4

A new episode! In case it hasn’t been clear, I’ve really been enjoying this series and am looking forward to each new episode!

Unfortunately, Mrs. Davies had to depart in the previous episode, with Agatha hilariously not even remembering her real name. And at the start of this episode she still doesn’t really care and wants the coven to move on ahead but the rest of the gang wants to at least bury Mrs. Davies and show her some respect.

The witches start blaming each other for Mrs. Davies’ death but it’s the Teen that gets all these women together. They were supposed to help each other out and didn’t, which is what led to Mrs. Davies’ death. But what’s done is done and they need a new Green Witch and they perform this funny summoning spell that brings…Rio Vidal, Agatha’s ex-girlfriend! And I love how Jen is like…attracted and scared of Rio at the same time? This show truly is for the gaes and the theys!

The next trial is meant for Alice, it seems, because as soon as the house appears she immediately nopes out but in the end has not choice because the Witches’ Road leads only to that one destination. I think we’re going to get Alice back story now!

Once inside the coven changes into glam rock outfits and I can’t deal with Agatha and Rio with their tits practically out? Someone somewhere is furiously writing fanfic of these two. Get to work on it!

As the witches walk around the house there are little spooky things that I think would genuinely freak some people out. The stained glass windows were just okay with me but the eyes in the mask when Jen was looking at them? That’s a nope for me I would have walked out.

Agatha also manages to trick Rio into exposing her plan, which is to gather bodies for…something. Of course, after Agatha kills the witches she has with her now. I don’t really know how Agatha thinks this will help her out since they already don’t trust her anyway but maybe we’ll find this out in further episode.

Teen finally kicks off the trial by playing a record that turns out to be a curse, and it involves the witches slowly burning unless Alice casts a protection spell/circle on them. But as it turns out the curse came from Alice, or at least Alice’s family. And now Lilia and Jen have it as well.

And then we find out that Lorna Wu’s version of “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road” is actually a protection spell that has been protecting Alice for years because at any given moment one of Lorna’s fans is playing that song. Ingenious! So long as the song has fans, Alice will stay protected.

The witches start playing Lorna’s version of the ballad and it looks like it’s not working against the curse and we get this shot of Teen with…a glass shard sticking out of him? I can’t really tell! Although I do love how they shot this whole sequence like a movie or show from the 70s.

The witches and Alice specifically finally defeat the curse, but it looks like it’s going to be at the cost of Teen’s life. Or at least the show wants us to think that but of course they’re not going to kill of Joe Locke and potentially Wiccan. We do get to see Agatha uncharacteristically worried and I think there really may be credence to the theory that Teen is possessed by Agatha Harkness’ son Nick Scratch.

And the show really is telegraphing it pretty heavily! From Agatha saying someone doesn’t need to know someone’s name to know who they are to Teen asking her point black what happened to her son. New Rockstars might just have figured this out ahead of everyone else!

But then again maybe they’re wrong! Because after some light lesbianism, Rio point blank says that Teen isn’t Agatha’s. Or maybe it’s a diversion? A red herring? Although I was mostly pearl clutching with the light lesbianism.
