Yes, I am getting right into the new episode! Let’s go!
Unfortunately, the previous episode saw the departure of Zahirah from the show. Babush acheng! The queens take note of how she was such a cheerleader for everyone in the room and I guess that defused any fights that may have sprung up so she had to be sent home stat.
And it does look like fights could break out because the queens are not feeling the ego boost that Kyran has been getting in the past few episodes. Actavia sure doesn’t like it. And Charra is itching for a win and I just feel like this just means that she’s the next queen going home.
The next day, the mini challenge is a play on the Graham Norton Show‘s Big Red Chair because the Maxi Challenge is the queens becoming “guests” on the Graham Norton Show. At least a version made for Drag Race. The queens get to tell jokes and let’s just say the reactions were funnier than some of the jokes.
Kiki is declared the winner and now she’s going to have to group the girls because they’re going to be interviewed by Graham in batches. Kiki decides to group herself with La Voix, Kyran, Marmalade, and Lill, which leaves Chanel, Charra, Actavia, and Rileasa as the other group. The queens think that Kiki has shot herself in the foot with the groupings but we’ll have to see how it does go down during the actual challenge.
Ru does a walkthrough with the queens and I know Ru isn’t reading this little blog all the way in Southeasy Asia anyway but I don’t think she’s the best person to get interview advice from? Just saying! I think they one time I really liked Ru on a talk show was when she made Jimmy Fallon squirm.
After that walkthrough, we get a much more sincere — or as sincere as you can get on a reality show — moment between La Voix and Kyran as Kyran talks about the abuse he suffered from a sexual predator when he was 13 years old. Of course this immediately makes me attached to him as someone who experienced something similar when I was seven.
Kiki’s group is up first and Kiki…you in danger girl. The ones that really dominated that group were La Voix and Marmalade with Lill maybe in third. Kyran and Kiki were definitely the bottom ones.
Up next is Chanel, Charra, Actavia, and Rileasa and…well this would have been a low rating episode of Graham Norton let’s just say that. Actavia was so nervous, Chanel took quite some time to get to the joke, Charra wasn’t funny. Rileasa was the best one by default.
The runway is headpiece-themed and I definitely liked Lill’s when it came out BUT WHAT HAD ME GAGGED WAS RU MENTIONING THE BORE WORMS.
Another headpiece that I liked was Kyran Thrax because it definitely was a departure from what everyone was expecting. I thought it was really creative and it looked good!
Kyran, Chanel, and Rileasa are the safe queens this episode and from the judges’ critiques it seems like it’s going to be a La Voix win plain and simple. Back in the Werk Room, it’s Kiki who gets into her feelings, understandably, but Chanel quickly sucks the oxygen out of the room by going after Charra Tea who already is in the bottom and doesn’t need you piling on her.
As expected, la Voix wins the challenge and Actavia and Kiki are in the bottom. I thought the two of them did really well and I honestly wouldn’t have minded a double shantay! Alas, time’s up for Kiki and she’s the one sent home this episode.
