Ron Watches Drag Race España Season 4 Episode 7

We’re getting closer and closer to the end of the season!

The season had its first double shantay in the previous episode, and La Niña and Chloe are understandably ecstatic. And since it’s been a storyline that’s been brewing throughout the season, Le Coco is wishing at least one person went home. Does this mean that Le Coco is headed to the bottom this episode? We shall see!

The next day, Le Coco is still complaining in the confessionals that there are still seven of them left, and then points out that there hopefully isn’t a double elimination this week. Which is a possibility, let’s be honest!

This week’s mini challenge is the puppet challenge and honestly I never really understood why this took off from the original series. But here we are! Angelita picks La Niña’s puppet and La Niña knows that drama is about to happen. Especially when La Niña gets Angelita’s puppet as well. Did some rigga morris happen? We don’t know!

Somewhat anticlimactic-ly, Angelita and La Niña’s puppet show wasn’t as drama-filled as I expected. In fact, the rest of the puppet show was kinda tame for me. Or at least none of the queens really took offense to anything that was said so the intended effect didn’t happen. No drama started!

Either way, La Niña wins the mini challenge and gets to choose her teammates and the product they’re going to market in this week’s Maxi Challenge, which is to film an infomercial. She picks Chloe and Angelita and Vampirashian is understandably flabbergasted. I thought La Niña would pick Vampirashian as well. The three of them are going to work with the Satisfryer. Megui and Le Coco pair up to work with a recliner that’s also a toilet while Vampirashian and Mariana take the mattress.

Once the queens break up into their groups, it really does look like La Niña made the right decision because her, Angelita, and Chloe seem to be getting along well. Is this a fake out and they’re going to crumble during the actual shoot?

During the actual shoot, Mariana and Vampirashian are up first and Vampi is not having a great time at all. And the drop happens for La Niña’s group because the Javis end up running the show because La Niña and Chloe don’t have enough control over what they’re supposed to do. Le Coco and Megui look like the group that may actually win this challenge, at least basing it on the shoot they did with the Javis. And can I just say that the Javis look like they’re actually good directors? They look more involved and actually seem like they know what they’re doing.

The next day as they prepare for the runway, the queens start talking about the drag queen economy and how most of the queens are underpaid and exploited by bar owners and let’s get into it! Although I do think it’s hilarious that after La Niña says they should focus on those on top that create these unfavorable working conditions rather than fighting fellow queens, she takes offense at Angelita pointing out that one weak member of a team can drag the rest of the team down.

Before we get to see the infomercials, the queens get to parade in a four elements-themed runway and…Vampirashian doesn’t start if off with a bang. I’m sorry! Mariana’s outfit doesn’t look any better either and I’m afraid that every queen is going to flop on this runway. Angelita sorta does okay with a Captain Planet look while Chloe comes in with an actually nice look but it may just be too abstract to actually match the theme.

La Niña also does well and even came in with actual fire and fire-breathing! Which made Megui’s look even more basic than it already is. I thought Le Coco’s looks were just okay but the judges seem to like it so who am I, really?

Mariana and Vampirashian’s informercial is up next and I can’t with the script. Interracial orgies? Double penetration? My Victorian sensibilities! It does look like Mariana is very much the star of this infomercial and Vampirashian may be in trouble, depending on how the other queens do.

But we get a little twist today as the queens immediately get critiqued after the infomercial and you know you’re in trouble when the normally very supportive Ana Locking is clocking your outfits. At least Mariana did well in the infomercial but Vampirashian…you in danger girl.

Or maybe Vampirashian is safe after all because L a Niña’s group didn’t do much better and Angelita is definitely prodded by Javier Ambrossi choosing to compliment Chloe and La Niña over her. Angelita goes off and Chloe isn’t having any of it. Angelita is definitely in the bottom again right with Vampirashian as her Captain Planet look gets read and Chloe and La Niña’s outfits get snaps from Ana Locking. I really feel like Angelita did something to production because they really have it in for her!

Megui and Le Coco are definitely the winning group this episode and Le Coco is taking home the win. Ana Locking clocked Megui’s look for not being as exciting, but did appreciate its artisanal elements. Now I’m sorry that that’s all I have to say about them because the real meat of the episode is the fight that La Niña’s group is about to have in the Werk Room.

And fight they do. Is this the most intense fight we’ve seen on Drag Race España? Seems like it! I think the Marina and Juriji fight kinda came close but both those queens knew to cut the tension with fart jokes and they at least also still kinda got along? With Angelita, Chloe, and La Niña, it looks like they’re going to be fighting even outside of the competition.

Megui and Le Coco win the Maxi Challenge, with Le Coco being the overall winner. But both of them get sex toys from Lelo! Lelo, shove it inside!

Vampirashian and Angelita are the bottom queens this week, BUT Vampirashian has the Lucky Queen and WOULDN’T YOU KNOW IT IT’S GOING TO BE A LA NIÑA AND ANGELITA SHOWDOWN.

And…that showdown was kinda a mess. I’d send them both home to be honest, but it’s Angelita who gets sent home. Production really hated Angelita. What did she do?
