So, I was supposed to upload this on the day of airing itself but for some reason, Wowpresentsplus wouldn’t play this actual episode. And then I had an extremely busy week so I ended up not being able to get back to this at all. But it’s the weekend now so let’s hope for the best!
Mariana Stars bid farewell in the last episode and now we’ve got our top four in Le Coco, La Niña Delantro, Vampirashian, and Chloe Vittu. The queens pay their respects but of course, they’re more focused on the final stretch. One of them is going to be the next crowned queen.
The next day, Supremme tells them that the final challenge they’ll have to face is a solo lip sync that they’ll prepare on their own to prove they’re worthy for the ultimate battle for the crown. So I’m guessing there’s another lip sync for the final two.
But before they do, they’re going to do an individual slut strut which is partly an opportunity for Supremme to plug her own song. Or at least I think it’s her new song. Hey, gotta do what you gotta do!
It’s also the requisite final interview where the queens recount their journey on the show. One thing that surprised me is that Drag Race España Hugaceo Crujiente sorta made La Niña Delantro realize that maybe she should get into drag. And Le Coco gets a special message from her grandmother, her mother, and her sister. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Did she get these messages because she’s not going to win the crown? But it’s not just Le Coco who gets a special message so maybe I’m worrying over nothing?
During their last day in the Werk Room, the queens congratulate each other and it’s all very lovey-dovey and I wonder if they were as cordial with each other during the reunion? I will be honest and say that I did not watch the reunion because I don’t know if I can handle the fights that are sure to happen with Angelita La Perversa and everyone else!
On the final day, the queens also get props from the judges. It’s all very victory lap for all of them and I hope they carry on the good feelings from these last pats on the back because of course there’s only going to be one winner.
Now we get to the twist of the finale, which has the judges assigning scores to the top four’s lip syncs Eurovision-style. And since Eurovision has been mentioned let me insert my two favorite performances!
And then the bigger fucking twist is that THE ELIMINATED QUEENS WILL ALSO BE VOTING! FUCK MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE WATCHED THAT REUNION.
Chloe Vittu is up first for the lip sync and…well it was okay! I don’t think this was the time to apply the controlled energy the judges were asking of her. And to be quite honest I wasn’t that impressed with La Niña’s lip sync as well. I feel like she should have chosen a Spanish song? Either way, I CACKLED with the shady inserts of Angelita’s face.
It’s Vampirashian and Le Coco who delivers, in my opinion, with emotional lip syncs that don’t require a lot of tricks. It’s a lost art, especially in the more recent seasons of Drag Race! Le Coco even makes the judges cry! Although I have to say it’s easy to make the judges of Drag Race España cry.
After the queens vote, the judges get their turn and it looks like both Chloe and La Niña bit off a little more than they could chew because I agree with the judges. They made it much more complicated than it needed to be. And we end up with a tie between Le Coco and Vampirashian, with Chloe and La Niña in third and fourth, respectively.
Supremme then reveals the audience scores and le Coco takes the lead as she gets the 12 votes from the audience, with production adding another shady Angelita insert. They really want her to be the villain of the season! It’s La Niña who ends up getting chopped.
The top four go backstage to prepare for the final lip sync and also to console La Niña and maybe I’m just a cynic but I laughed when Chloe said “It’s more important to be a good person than to win the finale” because girl. You can say that cause you’re in the finale.
The eliminated queens get one last runway walk and I gotta say all of them had great outfits on but Megui Yeillow’s hood thing that turned into a bag? Bitch,
As for the top three, I really liked Vampirashian’s outfit! I don’t know why, but I was a little underwhelmed by Le Coco’s? But again, I am not a fashion person so this may just be my ignorance showing.
The lip sync starts and for a moment I thought Chloe and Vampi were leaving Le Coco behind AND THEN LE COCO STARTS A SNOWSTORM? Well a confetti storm but by that moment you just know she’s taking home the crown.
AND THEN WE’RE TOLD THAT THERE’S GOING TO BE A LIVE FINALE. FUCK. THEY REALLY DON’T WANT LE COCO TO BRING HOME THAT CROWN. I mean I’m happy they get a live finale but Le Coco won that lip sync for me.
