Ron Watches Drag Race España Season 4 Episode 11

Quite honestly, I had forgotten about Drag Race España because of how busy work has been and also because of the week where they didn’t show anything at all. I had no idea when they would air the finale! But at least we’re finally here!

After that twist in the previous episode that caught even me off guard, we’ve now made it to the live finale of Drag Race España, held at a theater with a red carpet and everything! It’s really great to see that Drag Race España has grown big enough to warrant a live finale. There’s even an opening number with dancers and probably the only correct use of a RuPaul song in a foreign Drag Race franchise.

Supremme has a production number and proudly follows the tradition of RuPaul in not dancing at all. I approve! Ana locking looks great, Javier Ambrossi looks great, Javier Calvo has the bod on display, check, check, check.

The queens make their runway return and Shani LaSanta??? Was she on Ozempic or something? The body is snatched, the look is snatched. Then she’s followed by Porca who’s dressed like a Christmas tree I can’t.

Dita Dubois is in pink and snatched. Proportionizing done right! Followed by Kelly Passa?! who has a poodle on her head? It’s amazing! Miss Khristo’s look is…well it was a look, I guess?

Then we have Angelita fully leaning into her villain role with a horned wig and a red gown. At least she covered up her 5 o’ clock shadow! Megui Yeillow’s look is great, but I think it doesn’t top the one she wore in the previous episode. That one really blew my mind.

Mariana Stars look was good but I kinda was disappointed that she just went pageant? And then La Niña Delantro walks in with a look that is kinda similar to Angelita’s. I don’t think they’re going to fight here and I don’t really wanna watch the reunion if I’m honest.

Chloe Vittu has got a great outfit that kinda reminds me of Tarsem Singh’s The Cell for some reason but it’s immediately overshadowed by Vampirashian’s vampire couture. There’s even a gape! Le Coco’s look is good too but the real drama is in the face and the hair. The makeup and hairstyling is right.

The top three are asked to give their messages and I like that there’s some regional? Intra-city? Provincial? pride thing going on. Vampirashian wants to bring it home to Valencia, Le Coco wants to bring it home to Madrid.

And then Alyssa Edwards makes an appearance???? Is she going to be doing this for all the franchises??? I didn’t watch all of Global All Stars but I know she did win!

Here’s photos from when I went to the viewing party for it last August, by the way!

The performance start and I think Chloe shot herself in the foot with those big titties. It restricts your movement and if you do decide to go all out with them on it might sag or detach and now you look stupid.

I liked Vampirashian’s performance better but I feel like there was something wrong with the sound? Or is that just on my end? I know she’s just lip syncing but Chloe’s music and vocal track sounded cleaner than Vampirashian’s. But it may just be my computer. I do like what Javier Calvo said about La Bella Vampi reminding people of the art of the cuple that used to be performed by women and drag queens in the city before the two dictatorships that happened in Spain.

I also really liked Le Coco’s performance but I just wish she had practiced with the hat more? It’s not noticeable from afar, but when the camera zooms in you can see that her hair is a little messy because she took of her hat. But it’s still a good performance, I just wanted it to be perfect.

As expected, Chloe is the one to sashay away. Those tit really did not help you out in the end. It’s La Bella Vampi and Le Coco. We then get another performance of the climactic song in these season’s Rusical and now that they’ve included translated lyrics I can understand why the judges were crying in the Rusical episode. And it was so sweet to see the elder queens being applauded by the crowd!

Pitita comes in for her final night as current reigning and the step-down look is this gorgeous purple confection. Lovely!

And now we get to the Lip Sync for the Crown between Le Coco and La Bella Vampi. I really like how even if the finale song isn’t originally a Spanish song — it’s The Winner Takes It All by ABBA — what they’ll be performing is a version sung by a Spanish singer. I really want all non-US versions of Drag Race to pimp their musical artists.

The lip sync starts and the moment when Le Coco didn’t lip sync “it’s my turn to lose”? Bitch, she already won. Power move. Cunty move. I don’t think La Bella Vampi would ever recover from that. Even when Vampi did the reveal, Le Coco was able to distract with that fire trick. Vampi was just outmaneuvered right from the start. Anyways, congrats Le Coco, you really crushed it!
