Ron Watches Century of Love Episode 10

It’s the final episode! Let’s just dive right in and see how all of this ends!

When we left San in the last episode, he was basically in a hospice situation and Third was giving him drugs to lessen the pain. San also gets told that Wee should be given the chance to say goodbye to someone he loves.

This final episode starts with Wee’s grandma’s ashes being interred in the cemetery, just one of the death’s that Wee’s going to be mourning. Because San’s still going to die! Wee’s having a cry because everyone that’s loved him is leaving and not just leaving to go somewhere else but leaving the mortal plane.

San is still over at Third’s place, with the scent Wee made all the way back during their carnival date with him. He’s having a good cry of his own while he’s reminiscing about the time he smelled this scent on Wee.

Tao is trying to reason with the goddess with regards to San’s life, but gods and godessess are at best indifferent beings. He gets no response from the goddess and then we go back to San who’s moaning on Third’s couch.

Third isn’t happy with the way San’s acting, telling him that he should be by Wee’s side while Wee’s grieving his grandmother. San says Third is there in his place, but I don’t think he’ll be saying the same thing if Third asks if he can get it on with Wee, him being there in San’s place.

But it looks like San’s okay with that as well because he tells Third that he should take care of Wee once he’s gone. This is giving that three-way storyline in Shortbus! If you know, you know!

Back at San’s home, Wee finally realizes that the magic stone was used on him so that he would live. It doesn’t make Wee feel any better because now he thinks San left because he stole his chance at living a normal life. Third tries to console him but inadvertently reveals that he knows where San is. Wee asks to see him because he understandably can’t live with the guilt of San losing his life because of him.

Okay, before we get to Wee and San’s reunion, I wonder how they’re going to resolve this? San needs to drink the other half of the magic stone as prepared by Wee, but with the stone being used to heal Wee…does San have to drink Wee? Like any bodily fluid? Because…they’ve been having sex anyway, what’s a little swallowing?

Third takes Wee to San and the two talk it out. Wee’s not going to be able to save San, but at least he can get to spend San’s final days? hours? with him. It’s one more thing San can do for Wee before he leaves him.

San goes back home with Wee and the family tries to put up a brave front but the comedy isn’t working for me at the moment. Maybe I’m just hungry or something but anyway, it’s a minor complaint and easy to get over.

We get an “emotionally preparing for death” montage where San promises he’ll be the brightest star in the sky once he kicks the bucket and that he’ll be watching over Wee and that if Wee ever feels sad he should just look up to the stars. That’s ll well and good but I think it’d be better if Wee had a flesh and blood San by his side.

But the show really wants us to think that it’s not going to happen for them so they show us them going on dates, visiting Wee’s grandma’s grave, and Wee being part of the family portrait. They even take couple photos together. But you can’t fool me, show! I know San is going to get through this, I just can’t figure out how.

We also get another (fade to black) sex scene and if “drinking” Wee really is the key to San getting to live nobody will be able to tell me anything. I will be insufferable. We’ll find out soon enough!

The whole gang heads to the goddess’ temple for her birthday and San’s upcoming death. Everybody’s very sad — duh! — but San’s pretty much resigned to his fate. Gotta admit, kinda moving when they all say their goodbyes! Not enough to make me tear up but I did feel a little pinprick of emotion in my black, black heart.

While all of that is happening, Wadfah is making her way to the temple. She’s been suffering a bout of bad luck ever since that whole stealing the stone fiasco from San and now she may be thinking that doing a good deed for the goddess may reverse her fortunes. Or at least I think that’s what’s going to happen! I don’t know how she’s going to reverse the curse though with the stone gone and all.

As it turns out, Wadfah still has a tiny bit of the stone with her, acquired because of a comedic turn of events that felt a little out of place in the episode, to be quite honest. I would have been more satisfied if drinking Wee’s cum was the solution to the stone problem, to be honest. Anyways, Wee and Wadfah both shove the little tiny stone fragment into San’s mouth and save his life.

See, I’m not opposed to a comedic resolution to the stone problem. My thing is that most of the episode has been set up to be serious and dramatic and the comedic inclusion of Wadfah feels so out of place. Why couldn’t she have resolved this whole thing without the comedy? Or at least without the slapstick comedy?

The rest of the episode is spent tying up loose ends. Between Wee and Wadfah, which one was the real reincarnation? We may never know, but Tao says maybe the goddess wants all of them to live in the present instead of wallowing in the past. Wee is who San loves now, so enjoy it! Especially when San is really horny for Wee.

If you’re going to have a guy be very horny for you, you could do much worse.

We get one final toothpaste product placement although I don’t get why it has to be Tao brushing his teeth. Golden nameplate’s hung over the goddess, a promise of Third finding his soulmate soon, and San and Wee thanking the goddess and promising to love each other as long as they live. The end! And as far as endings go, it’s good enough!
