Ron Does Stuff

It’s the penultimate episode of this season and things are gearing up to an explosive conclusion. Or at least as explosive as Scandinavian drama can be this show has been pretty quiet despite the tons of drama.

At the end of the last episode, Wilhelm and Simon were getting to know each other all the way better, but both of them were unaware that known dickhead August had taken video of their little tryst.

We’ll have to delay their reaction that, however, as Wlhelm is busy admiring Simon’s naked body in his bed. They’re being cute and in love and flirting over bad morning breath and I’m so single you guys. And then they’re kissing even with the morning breath and I’m reminded of that chapter in The Shoebox Project.

Elsewhere in Hillerska, August is looking at the video he took of Wilhelm and Simon. Wilhelm is wrapping up a sandwich for Simon. Simon is making it look like he just got off the bus and didn’t spend the night getting some royal dick. And August is just being his dickhead self as he tries to draw away Wilhelm from Simon.

And August really shouldn’t be worrying about Wilhelm and Simon because apparently, their lap dog Alexander got caught with the drugs and pills they had for their totally Nazi Youth Society meeting and now they might possibly be tested for drugs, which Wilhelm can’t go through right now being the Crown Prince. Hanging out with August has caused you more problems than benefits, Wilhelm!

In the stables, it really does look like Felice and Sara are friends. Sorry, I’m just preconditioned to distrust the rich popular girl in teen stuff! Felice is supportive of Sara’s decision to not meet up with her father and even asks Sara to stay with her over the weekend!

Elsewhere in this huge rich kid Hillerska campus, Wilhelm and Simon are being lovey-dovey while I’m anxiously waiting for when August drops the sex tape bomb. You know it’s what he’s going to do. It’s what everybody else does now and frankly isn’t as scandalous as it used to be. Or maybe still as scandalous if you’re with hypocritical goody-two-shoes.

Over at Felice’s room, Sara is looking through Felice’s stuff and it looks like she may be crushing on August since August kissed her in the stables? Baby that is not the man you should be crushing on. You and Felice need a better man in your lives!

While Sara is getting to find out how Felice’s side of Hillerska lives, Wilhelm is discovering how Simon’s side of Hillerska lives. He’s over at Simon’s place and I just can’t imagine always having bodyguards with you everywhere, even inside the home of the guy you’re having sex with. But at least the bodyguards don’t follow Wilhelm into Simon’s room, where Wilhelm’s charming his way into Simon’s pants again.

Over at Hilleska, Sara is a girl’s girl and lets Felice know that August kissed her in the stables, which leads to Felice dumping August via Instagram Story which, cunt. I support! I do worry that this may just push August to exact revenge not on Sara, but on Simon since he’s closer to him and he already has the “weapon” to use against him.

On top of being dumped by Felice, August now has to think of a way to keep Alexander from being expelled from school because otherwise, Alexander’s going to tell everyone about their Hitler Youth Society. AND THEN AUGUST DOES WHAT I EXPECTED HIM TO DO AND TRIES TO PIN THE BLAME ON SIMON. HE EVEN TELLS WILHELM THAT SIMON HAS BEEN DEALING DRUGS TO THEM FOR MONTHS. YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE.

Wilhelm confront Simon with this information and Simon reveals everything: that August bought the booze and the drugs and that August is broke and Wilhelm tells Simon that August and his Hitler Youth friends are thinking of letting Simon take the fall. Wilhelm wants Simon to think about how him getting expelled will affect his mom and his family while Simon correctly points out what about his family? Simon tells him to fuck off and YES. DON’T LET THAT SWEDISH ROYAL PUSH YOU AROUND.

August is also getting some comeuppance, as the headmistress is telling him that he can’t return to school after the Christmas break because his school fees still haven’t been paid yet. And then Wilhelm puts his foot down to save Simon from getting expelled and humiliates August in front of his Hitler Youth friends in the process. Go Wilhelm but also oh no Wilhelm.

Wilhelm and Simon finally get to talk to each other and I can’t really blame Simon for folding when Wilhelm tearfully admits that he just can’t lose him because he’s the only person here that he can actually talk to. A cute boy in tears telling you he can’t lose you. Totally understandable. And Edvin and Omar’s acting in this scene? Chef’s kiss.

And then there’s that motherfucker August uploading that video he took of Wilhelm and Simon without their consent. Sara sees him doing something but didn’t actually see him upload the thing. Also, Sara is the head girl for the Lucia thing thanks to Felice! Hopefully, this friendship continues on in the coming seasons!

We also find out that Wilhelm RESOLVED AUGUST’S PROBLEMS FOR HIM. GOD I HATE THIS MOTHERFUCKER. YOU’RE RUINING WILHELM’S LIFE AFTER HE LOOKED OUT FOR YOU.

And I guess because this is the episode before the finale of the season, Simon also gets in trouble as his father makes an appearance at the Lucia thing and reveals that Simon has been visiting him. Sara is not happy and who can blame her, honestly.

AND THEN Wilhelm’s sex tape hits the internet. Gotta say, I love the absolutely understated treatment that the show does with this reveal. It’s just Wilhelm quietly panicking while everyone else is just doing their own thing. The fact that there is no hysterics at all makes it even more heartbreaking.
