The past work week has been hectic, so I’ve been really falling behind when it comes to blogging about shows, which is why you’re getting this late. Better late than never!
At the end of the last episode, Po got a little tingle in his tummy as it really looked like Thame had gotten himself a box of condoms for the night they’re going to be spending together. Let’s see if that was a box of condoms!
They arrive at Po’s place and Po asks Thame if he could just close his eyes for a few minutes as he cleans up his messy apartment, which really isn’t all that messy compared to the pig sty I live in. The show teases with a sort of view of the box that Thame bought at the convenience store but it’s hard to tell if they’re condoms. Thame tells him that he shouldn’t clean up too much if they’re going to be just on the couch anyway, and he says this after testing the couch’s springiness. Well, well well.
Po tries to delay the inevitable by trying to find Thame something to eat, but we all know what Thame is really hungry for. Thame approaches Po as he starts preparing food and then dims the lights and I bet Po’s hole tingled a little. Thame says the mood would be better if the lights were off but then adds that since it’s their first time he’d like to see Po’s face. Po are you going to let this teenager bend you over? Fight back!
The two of them take a shower — separately — and putter around the house looking at Po’s stuff. Thame makes a fuss about the cupsleeve Po made for a Jun event and asks Po to make one for him that also says “One and Only”. Baby, you aren’t even official official with Po. Neither one of you has even gotten to first base with each other!
The two of them watch the Bright Vachirawit of 2gether fame movie they’ve been talking about for the past eight episodes, fully taking advantage of that that cross-promotion. I kinda want to watch it now too, to be honest!
The two of them hold hands while watching the film but we still don’t know if Thame really did buy a box of condoms. Was he really that confident that he’s going to bang Po tonight? He’s confident enough to use that “watching through the reflection in your eyes” line, that’s for sure! AND THEN HE GOES HOME! DAMN, LEAVING PO WITH BLUE BALLS AND ALL. And then we find out that it wasn’t a box of condoms after all but lemon candy.
The next day, the rest of Mars fully thought that since Thame was at Po’s place the two of them would be getting it on, but it turns out that Thame was very literal about his intentions. He said he was going to watch a movie and they watched a movie! When pressed further, he explains that he should be respectful since it’s his first time in Po’s place and Jun delivers the line of this episode when he says that Thame should maybe have found out if Po was looking for respect or ~something else~. Yes, what if Po wanted to be disrespected, Thame? Ever thought about that?
That said, I really like how they treat sex during this scene. It’s pretty matter of fact and very non-judgmental. No one’s judged for having or not having sex. The only judgment passed is on Thame’s inability to correctly assess the situation and sending mixed signals to Po.
They start shooting the music video and while I am no expert does this show seriously want me to believe that they’re shooting a music video with just one DSLR camera that’s held in just one position? Come on now, guys. Just like I said before, the music industry parts of this show are its weakest link.
The shoot does allow Thame to try to make amends, but the operative word here is try because he uses the “watching a movie” phrase as a stand-in for sex while Po looks like he’s thinking that “watching a movie” is just watching a movie. Thame is promising he’ll do it better the next time but baby nothing was done the first time. Anything else is going to be an improvement.
Mars drops the MV for their new songs out of nowhere and I did like the little peek into fan work when it comes to pushing their artists to the top, like organizing to top the charts that rely on voting and then streaming the song and the video. And of course GMMTV gets to push their boyband as well.
I would say stream it on Spotify as well but the track doesn’t seem to be there so oh well.
The guys do the promotions for the song and after one of the performances — the show doesn’t really make it clear how many they’ve done — Thame sends a text that he’ll watch a movie at Po’s room tonight. Po better get ready because I don’t think he’s going to be watching a movie!
That night, the two of them get to Po’s place and Thame is on it. Didn’t even give Po a chance to put down his bag before he’s kissing him. And to Po’s credit, he’s not just taking it either, he’s kissing back and letting his hands travel. They’re on the couch and their hands are up each other’s shirts AND THEN BAIFERN KNOCKS ON THE DOOR. COCKBLOCKED!
Baifern has stormed into Po’s house because she thinks Po’s dating Mick, the lazy manager and if I were Po I would end my friendship with Baifern because how dare. You really think Po’s taste in men is that bad? She even tries to find evidence of Po’s bad taste in men throughout the apartment but I gotta say I was distracted by how big his apartment is. Good thing they put in that his parents are supporting him financially because how can you afford this huge place while being jobless?
EVEN WORSE, now Thame isn’t in the mood to fuck because he’s found out that the sandwich Po got him beforehand was actually his ex’s favorite and that Po still keeps his ex’s clothes in the closet. Oh Baifern when I catch you! Although Po, you aren’t free from fault here either because why are you still wearing your ex’s clothes?
Thame goes on a cute-only-because-it’s-in-the-context-of-the-show “rampage” as he erases all traces of Po’s ex in the house, even going to the sandwich shop and changing Po’s usual. Cute here, but definitely red flags in real life. After he does all of that he moves in his stuff with Po’s but I don’t think he’s going to move in with him just yet? Did he bring all that stuff that night? Because he was wearing the same outfit throughout!
Anyways, it does look like he moved in because Po is sleeping on his lap and shit while he’s reading to him. OR MAYBE NOT BECAUSE THE SHOW MAKES IT LOOK THAT ALL OF THIS HAPPENED OVERNIGHT? I can’t tell! Thame even made coffee for Po the next morning. And Po gave him the keycard to the house. Oh the sex is definitely going to happen this episode.
But before that, Mars has to go on a music show and drink some product placement for the cameras. Brings me back to the My Love Mix-Up! days. But I guess this show is better funded because the product placement isn’t as in your face as the ones in My Love Mix-Up! were.
The music show happens and they do a pretty good faux Inkigayo score thingie at the end. Mars wins, which supposedly bodes well for their chances moving forward, and with that positive high I am pretty sure Thame will be up for that night visit to Po if you know what I mean.
Back at Po’s place, they acting all domestic cooking food and feeding each other and my god I’m so single. They’ve got matching aprons on! THEY’RE PUTTING FACE MASKS ON EACH OTHER DAMN. Later on they watch the same Bright move again but this time around Thame is definitely going to stick it in and isn’t going home. They start making out and it’s pretty long! I thought we were going to go with the more conservative My Love Mix-Up! route but I guess not!
THEN THEY START TAKING THEIR SHIRTS OFF. I SHOULDN’T BE SURPRISED BY THIS BECAUSE CENTURY OF LOVE HAD SHIRTS OFF AND WET DREAMS FROM THE FIRST EPISODE BUT I AM STILL SURPRISED THEY CAN DO THIS ON THAI TV.
