It’s the final episode of the season! Let’s go!
The gang is back together after being temporarily broken up at the end of the last episode, and no we’ll be able to see what I assume is the final clash between Ga Min and Han Wul since the disciplinary committee meeting is going to push through.
However, if the disciplinary committee meeting for Han Wul is going to push through, so will Ga Min’s, which means that he might get expelled because Han Wul has money and connections that Ga Min doesn’t have. Sun Chul — who I guess is an honorary study group member now — also points out that Han Wul killed Jung Hwa the last time there was a committee hearing to expel him. With not a lot of choices on the table, the group resolves to protect Han Kyeong until the hearing is over.
Protection is definitely needed for Han Kyeong because despite warning from the police detective handling the case, she isn’t running away from the hearing. She also gets a call from the vice principal who supposedly wants to come clean about everything but it definitely is a trap and she’s going into it directly.
BUT it doesn’t look like a trap once she’s in there, as the vice principal does come clean, admitting that the school is just a money laundering front for Han Wul’s gang leader dad. BUT then the lights turn off and I guess it is a trap but not one the vice principal set. No Reason and two other minions are in the school as well as Han Wul himself and they take away the phone with the vice principal’s confession from her.
BUT — that’s the third but — Ga Min and the gang are here to the rescue! As it turns out, they’ve been watching over her for the past three days, which I don’t know how they did it but their grades are probably going to take a hit!
The minions — from both the study group and Han Wul’s group — disperse as Ga Min and Han Wul finally face off. I’m also interested in the match-ups happening. Sun Chul and Ji Woo against two minions, Se Hyun against No Reason, and Lee Jun against ANTI, the guy he’s been looking for since he was a kid.
While it looks like Ga Min and Han Wul are an even match, the rest of the gang get the requisite “the bad guys have the (temporary) upper hand” fights. Lee Jun’s fight is pretty interesting too because of the history that he has with ANTI. I also liked that Se Hyun apparently learned from Ga Min’s mother herself on how to fight.
Of course, the best and most sexually-charged scene — because I am a broken person — is between Ga Min and Han Wul. Somebody write fanfiction of these two! Han Wul is defeated but Ga Min but the effort tires him out, leaving him unable to defend Han Kyeong, who has to face the rest of Han Wul’s goons. BUT! The show does a great job at bringing it all back together as the rest of the characters that the study group has met along the way have now come back to defend Han Kyeong, because the group is changing things at Yusung Technical!
Han Wul is defeated and expelled and it looks like change is happening. Gun Yeob looks like he’s going to be a big part of a second season — if that’s happening — and the study group continues to study for college. This was definitely a fun show and I am really hoping for that second season!
