Now I won’t pretend to be a hardcore Ahgase and act like I know every single thing about Jay B. I am a casual GOT7 and Jay B listener but I think even Ahgase’s will agree with me that you don’t need to be a hardcore fan to appreciate Jay B’s hotness. So when I had the opportunity to cover his concert here in Manila, I immediately jumped at the chance.
This was the second concert I attended over the weekend, with Walk the Line in Bulacan being the first one and these were two entirely different experiences so I don’t think it’s fair to compare them to each other. Walk the Line was a stadium show while Tape:Re Load is a more intimate experience, kinda like Things I Can’t Say Love Manila but that was an even smaller venue.
While the spectacle of a stadium show is definitely memorable, there’s also something special about intimate shows like this one, especially when Jay B gamely engaged in banter with the audience. Pretty sure every Ahgase there isn’t going to forget anytime soon Jay B saying: “You guys think I’m handsome? I know, right?”
As someone who’s only a casual listener of Jay B and GOT7, Tape:Re Load really made me want to dive deeper into Jay B’s discography. He’s got that sexy crooner vibe down pat even if he still tries to act all conservative with the crowd. You know what you did/are doing!
As to how the whole concert was organized, I can only speak for myself but it was such a smooth experience, especially when compared to my Things I Can’t Say Love Manila experience. I initially thought that it was because it’s a smaller venue, but Things I Can’t Say Love Manila was an even smaller venue and that was a chaotic experience. All in all, I had a really fun time at the concert and would attend another one again if it happens!
