Ron Watches Love Is A Poison Episode 9

At the end of the previous episode, we got a little peek into Haruto’s past. Could they be facing the person who murdered Haruto’s mom? Let’s find out!

Shiba is explaining the basics of the case to Haruto and they’re thinking that Arisuinbo wants to buy up a property that an investment firm was working on turning into an entertainment center. Haruto is intent on winning this case but I don’t think Shiba knows that there may also be an ulterior motive as to why Haruto wants to win.

Haruto does as Haruto does and manages to ingratiate himself with an executive for the construction company that Arisuinbo put pressure on. Now how that led to him finding out that Arisuinbo did pressure that company isn’t fully explained but I’m willing to suspend my disbelief on that. Shiba has also been doing some digging of his own and he’s found out that Arisuinbo might have made up a fake environmental group to protest the construction of the entertainment center that eventually led to the cancellation of the contract.

However, that’s all the leads they’ve found, which understandably frustrates Shiba. It also doesn’t help that he and Haruto run into Hachisuka, Shiba’s former company senior who leaked his legal strategies to Arisuinbo way back when, at a restaurant. They verbally spar for a bit, with Hachisuka making a dig at Haruto. Shiba stands up for Haruto and if I were Haruto I would have given Shiba a blow job right then and there no questions asked but he does something that Shiba will probably appreciate more and pleads and convinces the construction company executive to testify in court against Arisuinbo.

UNFORTUNATELY, the exec changes his testimony at the last minute and I pretty much felt the same way I did when that witness changes his testimony on Daredevil Born Again. Shiba and Haruto are floored and Shiba ends up trying to drown his sorrows in alcohol. He suffers a crisis of confidence that Haruto just can’t accept and I think it should be Haruto giving him a public blow job now because that is loyalty. That is belief in your talents. And while it’s not quite a public blow job, the two of them reiterate their belief in each other’s talents and give one of those chaste kisses they do on Japanese dramas. Which I’m not mad at because the straights in Japanese dramas do it the same way anyway!

But unbeknownst to the pair, Kotaro saw them kissing…and he knows that Haruto is one of the suspects in the real estate scam case that he’s been working on since episode one.
