Ron Watches Kian’s Bizarre B&B Episode 3

Kian, Jin, and Ye-Eun finally get to the main B&B in the previous episode and after checking out all the crazy things that Kian though of, they immediately get busy trying to prepare it for the guests that are going to arrive. How will all of this turn out?

At the B&B, Kian and Jin finally get Ye-Eun up the pole to get out of the dining room. This is good, because unbeknownst to them, more guests have arrived, bringing the total to nine guests. And yes, I know I am late because my professional and personal life have been taking up space but I finally get to see Jin throw his sock up first before climbing up the pole. With nine guests and three staffs, they’re lacking one bed short so it’s decided that Ye-Eun will sleep in a tent on the ground…floor?

They also bring all the luggage to the B&B but with the “only” entrance being the rock wall, Jin takes command and has them hand him the groceries through the kitchen window after he makes the climb. That doesn’t solve the problem with the luggage, which Kian had initially suggested that people strap onto their backs while they climb the rock wall. Kian compromises and tries bringing them up via the slide but it’s still a challenge to transport them.

Night falls and to be fair, the place does look nice at night. Maybe because you can’t see everything? But if I were looking at it from the port, I would be at least curious to see what it is.

The guests finally arrive at the port and my instant favorite is the carpenter, Lee Ah-Jin. Gotta love a woman succeeding in a “male” field! But once they get on the B&B it’s like a level playing field because none of them expected what they got there. But the three new guys do have a leg up — literally — because they’re literal rock climbers. 안녕하세요 Shim Min-Seob!

The presence of the rock climbers does make it easier for the rest of the guests to climb up, which I guess is why production cast them in the first place. They’re working just as hard to mitigate all the crazy stuff that Kian cooked up for this B&B.

Even then, there are just some guests that can’t do the pole and I can’t blame them! For some, the pole is a last resort, something they turn to when they can’t pay their tuition!

Speaking of poles, I gotta put in Jennifer Lopez’ pole dance in Hustlers because I feel like that’s one of the most transcendent things she’s ever done.

I’d age-restrict it too, to be fair!

For tonight — I think only for tonight — Kian decides that they should eat outside while Ah-Jin constructs a ladder for the B&B. They move the plates and utensils outside while Jin is left in the kitchen to cook his beef brisket and soybean paste stew.

It also becomes clear why production added Ah-Jin as a guest. With a carpenter in the B&B, not only can she construct a ladder, she could also make them a door. But Jin is uncompromising and principled and what can I say? That’s my man. He really does push Kian to deal with the consequences of his actions and stand by it.

After a lot of huffing and puffing and having Min-Seob hand the ingredients from the kitchen window, dinner is finally served and everyone loves Jin’s stew because why wouldn’t they. And everyone think’s Min-Seob is handsome as well and Kian even says he wants to make him into a webtoon. And Jin-Ah has been on construction sites since she was 18 and she is so cool.

With the first day on the main B&B done, the guest finally tuck in and sleep. There’s a really great scene where the KAIST guys — I think it’s the KAIST guys? — get out of their beds to stargaze and even plan to wait out the sunrise. But the plans are cut short when it starts raining around 4 a.m.
