Ron Watches My Golden Blood Episode 3

At the end of the second episode, we saw that even Tong’s tears can help out Mark in times of need. Which made me ask the tantalizing question: Mark can drink something else that isn’t blood?

Seeing all the trouble that running away from Mark has caused, Tong finally relents and agrees to live with Mark. He gives a totally flimsy excuse to Tonkla but I am fully committed to this show so far so I don’t care if it was flimsy as long as it brings these two together.

The two go to Mark’s home and I gotta say, that shot of Mark with the mirrors? I thought that was good! Director should pat himself on the back with that one because I thought it was just some vampire trickery, but it’s just mirrors.

I don’t know how to make it any brighter but it looked cool when I first saw it.

We also find out that Mark lives in a huge house alone and I don’t really think Tong should be worrying about coffins inside of it because something else might end up getting buried inside something, IYKYK.

Did somebody say IYKYK?

Tong gets a tour of the house and when they get to the bedroom with only one bed I thought we were going to see that trope deployed here but nope, vampires don’t need to sleep so Mark’s just gonna watch Tong 24/7. Tong worries Mark will suck his blood while he’s sleeping, but I think Tong should be worried about Mark sucking something else out of him IYKYK. Tong just wants Mark at least an arm’s length away from him.

Later that night, Tong starts dreaming that same dream that he had in the first episode and Mark calms him down by caressing him. Because of course. It’s not clear whether Mark can see what Tong is dreaming about or whether he just senses that Tong is stressing out over something, so I hope that’s something that’s cleared up later.

When Tong goes down for breakfast the next day, he’s welcomed with an enviable spread of food that I wouldn’t mind waking up to on a daily basis as well. I just don’t want to cook anymore, y’all! Mark says some of the items are from Michelin-starred restaurants, so I wonder which ones since there are six restaurants in Bangkok that have been awarded Michelin stars, or at least that’s what the Michelin website says.

However, it’s Mark who ends up eating the meals, and I think it may be because Tong’s tears did something to him? He’s suddenly able to actually taste human food? Is this what Tong’s precious fairy vagina Golden Blood does?

That doesn’t get explained just yet so we instead get a scene of Mark taking Tong’s measurements since Tong is bored and asking if he could go to a mall to get some clothes. We find out that Tong is one size smaller than Mark and Tong is offended. How does Mark know that it applies to ~all~ his measurements?

I mean, he did see you naked in episode two!

We then move on to the gym, where Mark tries to teach Tong how to properly lift weights but as soon as Tong sweats Mark is distracted by the smell. Mark tries to ignore Tong but Tong continues working out beside him and Tong misinterprets Mark’s self-control as irritation at him. Once Tong is out of the gym, Mark takes Tong’s sweat-soaked towel and sniffs it like the freak that he is.

Unlike Elio, though, Tong catches Mark sniffing his towel.

The next day? Some undetermined day? Mark has to go to the medical center to take care off some things and asks Tong to come with him since it’s apparently more dangerous to leave Tong alone in the house compared to taking him to a medical center I am assuming is teeming with vampires who might just get a whiff of Tong’s precious fairy vagina Golden Blood.

At the hospital, Thara asks for these two homosexuals to her office, where she proceeds to tell him that his precious fairy vagina Golden Blood will bring back peace. Now, this peace, is it between vampires and humans or vampires and fellow vampires?

Thara also tells Mark that Tong has a kind heart and that it is prone to shatter, which is kinda true. But I am going to roll my eyes if this is going to be a show where Mark will try to change that “weakness” in Tong. I’d rather it happen the other way around! Tong shows Mark that kindness is not a weakness.

Thara also warns Mark that while it’s good that he’s managed to keep Tong close to him, it’s also dangerous for the two of them to be that close since Tong’s precious fairy vagina Golden Blood is too powerful even for Mark to handle. But as we’ve seen, maybe Mark can partake of other fluids instead?

Back at Mark’s home, we get a little backstory about Miss Nuan the orphanage lady from Tong, and since she’s obviously an important person in Tong’s life, Mark decides to take Tong back to her so he can wish her a happy birthday. Where Tong’s academic life fits into all of this, I have no idea.

Back at the orphanage…Tonkla is also there and I thought they both got into a school in Bangkok? What’s happening here? But I’m once again choosing to overlook this since it’s not really a big deal as of now. At the orphanage, we get to learn more about Mark, who was an actual sickly kid growing up unlike Tong, who was only pretend sick. We also find out that Mark is half-white, which I should have maybe figured out but I don’t know Thai nickname conventions! Thara intervenes and turns him, making Mark Thara’s fledgling. But I don’t know if fledglings are a thing in this vampire universe.

Miss Nuan arrives and Tong’s got a surprise planned for her but it turns out he’s the fool in the scenario because he unintentionally finds out that Miss Nuan knew about the vampire business all along and never told him. She also got paid to take care of him, which totally destroyed the image Tong had of her in his mind. He also lashes out at Tonkla and says some pretty hurtful things and I can’t blame Tonkla for being mad at him!

Mark and Tong sit down and have a talk about everything that went down, but rather than Tong getting any clarity, it’s Mark who does get it. He realizes that he and Tong are both lonely so they should sleep together and rather than continue to cut Tong off from everything else, he should let him live in the world.

Tong moves out of Mark’s home and moves back in with Tonkla, who’s already gotten over what Tong said to him because he’s a good person and also because he’s a supporting character and not the star. He also refuses the scholarship and decides to take out a loan instead and I’m aghast. In this economy? Tonkla, baby, you don’t need that kind of hardship. Take the scholarship!

Tonkla’s mind is already made up, and as they go to sleep that night Tong finally dreams a different dream. A wet dream.

It’s not as fun as the way they did it in Century of Love but I’ll still give them props!

In school the next day, the first thing the students are told to do is get into groups to do a report and GUESS WHO’S VAMP IN THE HOUSE. Mark is also a student in the school. Get those Twilight engines going!
