Cynthia was sent home in the previous episode, and if Monet Exchange on The Pit Stop can be trusted, this is the penultimate episode for the season. Let’s see who’s going to make it to the finale!
As Bosco points out, the queens are very somber going back to the Werk Room after Cynthia is sent home. Mistress is honestly not my favorite person at the moment, not only because she’s being extremely passive-aggressive to the people complimenting her, but because she seriously thinks there were people who did worse than her on Snatch Game. She’s doing that same Alaska meltdown from All Stars 2 and I didn’t like it when that happened back then as well. But you do you, I guess.
The next day, Jorgeous does confirm that this is the penultimate episode of the show and…okay, I guess? Thought it would be longer because there’s still so many queens left but whatever. The queens have their little talk around the table before whatever this week’s challenge is announced, and Mistress continues to push peoples buttons, specifically targeting Aja this time around. And it definitely gets a lot tense, but I gotta admit that Aja saying she’s a grown woman so she doesn’t fight butch queens? I CACKLED.
Today is the day the queens do the reading challenge and Bosco calling Jorgeous’ throat The Orphanage? BITCH THE LAUGH I LAUGHED. So it wasn’t really a surprise to me that she won. She wins $2,500 for being a cunt!
We then find out that this week’s Maxi Challenge is the talent show and Irene is freaking out. Or at least, she says she is, but I think with so much time having passed, she surely has something planned this time around.
Mistress and Aja outwardly act that their fight was just them being catty, but the confessionals tell a different story. Mistress doesn’t think Aja will deliver a good talen show since “Is she gonna jump from there?” is so iconic and…I kinda agree with Mistress. Aja is either going to do really well or flop real hard because of the long shadow cast by “Is she gonna jump from there?”
The queens start rehearsing for their performances and I gotta say…production does a good job of making things sound uninteresting. But maybe that’s deliberate so all the actual performances actually wow when the audience sees it.
On the day of the talent show, the queens discuss the anti-trans propaganda infesting not just the United States but a lot of places in the world right now. I think it’s also correct that the queens call out all the corporations that have backed out of sponsoring Pride or LGBTQIA+ creators because it’s become more acceptable to be prejudiced. When things swing back to the left, remember all those companies.
Aja is up first for the talent show and while it’s not a disaster, it still doesn’t measure up to “Is she gonna jump from there?” Mistress was sorta right. Daya’s performance was also meh, for me. It does pick up with Bosco and Ginger’s performances, but I can’t help but feel a little tired of the talent show always being about song and dance performances? I wish there was more variety. Lydia and Mistress do something that stands out but it doesn’t stand out enough for me. I needed more.
The theme for this week’s runway is Foiled Again and Jiggly, bless her soul, is the first thing I think of. Her hot potato couture will always be iconic.
Bosco, as usual, is stunning. God damnnnn, she looked good. I also liked Irene’s look because I am always a sucker for fantasy looks. Which is also why I also liked Mistress’ look. I guess I have a type, because Irene and Mistress’ looks do have some similarities!
But this is also why I am not a fashion person because Law Roach did not like Mistress’ look. From the critiques, it looks like either Bosco and Jorgeous taking the win and Mistress and Lydia lip syncing for their life.
The queens return and it’s Aja, Daya, and Irene who are through to the finale. Bosco wins the talent show and Jorgeous and Ginger also move on to the finale. It is Mistress and Lydia in the bottom.
The lipsync is to a Charli XCX song and I honestly thought it was a middling performance from them both. But it’s Lydia that Ru favors and she moves on to the finale!
