Ron Watches Drag Race France All Stars Season 1 Episode 3

We saw our first eliminiation in the previous episode, with Magnetica being sent home like the production wanted. Now, which one of the queens will be sent home this episode? Let’s find out!

The queens are wiped out after the Ball, and Soa is shook by how everything went down. Elips explains she made the decision based on the two weeks that the queens have been here and admittedly, Magnetica did perform worse than Soa. Kam picked Soa too, so whoever won, Magnetica would still have gone home.

Oh, again, I don’t usually mention the guest judges, but they have an Emily in Paris actress on the panel. So does that mean that the show is a hit among the LGBTQIA+ set in France, at least? Because I was under the impression no one who’s actually French liked that show.

When the queens meet in the Werk Room the next day, Soa declares that she won’t be the one going home this time around, which just means she will be going home this time around. Oh Soa. At least you were in the very first season of Drag Race France! The…Nicky Mail? arrives and Misty figures out that the Maxi Challenge for this week is going to be Snatch Game.

Kam immediately admits to being one of the two queens in the lineup wbo have been eliminated during the Snatch Game Episode, with Piche being the other one. She says she’s ready for a Rudemption in the confessionals, but we’ll see about that. Especially since it’s going to be…Family Feud-ish? The extra special guest judges are going to be the team captains.

There’s an friendly argument between Soa, Bertha, and Mami about one of Soa’s Snatch Game character choices that I probably would have found funny if I knew anything about French pop culture, but as it is I am just nodding along. I did find it funny how Soa said in the confessional that Mami thought Grace Jones was already dead and Dalida was still alive, and that Mami should cut the bullshit.

The Snatch Game starts and the only ones I recognize from the Emily in Paris team is Louis XIII and the Eiffel Tower. Or at least I thought I knew Louis XIII but the king I actually know is Louis XVI from Oversimplified.

Like some of the international editions, I don’t think I can fairly assess this Snatch Game because I’m reading translations that might not be conveying the full comedy of their answers, and also because they’re referencing French pop culture that I’m not aware of. But some of the answers did get laughs from Nicky and the guest judges so maybe this was funny to the French! Misty in particular seems to be doing good!

The next day, Kam shares that she had a fun time in Snatch Game this time around, and so does Soa. But the real “star” of this Werk Room discussion is Moon, who reveals she is in a relationship with a trans man and she couldn’t be happier. She also talked about being in the closet as a trans woman kinda echoed Snatch Game, as she’s been playing the role of a man for decades now.

The runway category this time around is “All blown up” and I don’t know how Moon’s outfit relates to the theme but it’s beautiful. But then she reveals her pregnant belly and I get it! So this is why she was talking about wanting to have a baby in the Werk Room.

Soa goes out in an outfit made from upcycled inflatable toys, which is…okay. Misty comes out as Popeye and Bertha references an oufit from her season that reveals into a swimsuit and a big inflatable on her back. Elips has a great message for her outfit, but let’s be honest here. It was a little simple. Kam Hugh does a “sexy” Sailor Moon, and I’m sorry, but I’m not into it! Just do the Sailor Starlights then if you’re going to go that direction. Plastique did it!

Piche comes out as Obelix and MY GOD THAT BRINGS ME BACK TO MY CHILDHOOD. THOSE COMICS WERE PRECIOUS BACK THEN.

Moon is safe, and so is Elips, which means that everybody else is either top or bottom. Kam is up first and while the judges like her outfit, she gets read for her Snatch Game. Soa is definitely going to be in the bottom again because neither her Snatch Game nor her outfit got high praise. Misty Phoenix, on the other hand, is getting a top placement, along with Bertha and Punani. But at least Nicky is very proud of them and reassures them that they’re All Stars.

Misty and Punani are the top two queens, while Soa and Kam are in the bottom. I’m pretty sure Soa is the next to go. Soa is not happy, and she makes it known in the Werk Room. Kam is also moved by Soa’s declaration that she doesn’t want to go up against Kam.

Misty wins this week and she sends Soa home. Which I think everybody expected at this point.
