Okay, I had this blog post planned out better earlier today, but after a tiring shift at work I’m afraid it’s just going to be me groggily recounting what I can while trying not to fall asleep. You get what you get!
The initial plan with this event was to leave my place early and get on the MRT, just to save a little money. However, things didn’t pan out that way, so I ended up taking a Grab instead to get to Romance Class’ Merienda and Meet-Cutes, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of Romance Class live readings. A whole decade. My goodness, does time fly or what.
And just like most Romance Class get-togethers that involve live readers, there was a lot of screaming. If you’ve never been to a Romance Class live reading, the live readers are great and give the text that extra oomph, really bringing the words on the page to life. It’s no wonder there’s screaming, squeeing, squealing, and people hiding under tables.
Of course, an extra bonus for me and other readers as well is that they get to interact with the authors as well. You get to hear gossip too if you’re lucky! Gossip that I will not be sharing here, mainly because I arrived late and was not privy to the gossip section of the day.
Check out some pictures I took during the event!

But wait, there’s more! I also took video of some of the live readings, and you can watch them below!
