It’s finally here! I was actually supposed to watch this when it first came out, but aside from work getting in the way, it also didn’t have English subtitles. So I’m only getting into this now. Let’s go!
As all of you guys know, I loved Century of Love. Finding out that Daou and Offroad are practically married? Fantastic bonus. So I absolutely had to watch this show as well. Yes, it’s going to be a little late because they don’t have English subtitles upon airing, but beggars can’t be choosers!

The opening credits? Spectacular. You won’t see me complaining about two hot shirtless guys. We then get into the show, where a hospital is unveiling its Mercy Angel project, a project that will supposedly “elevate treatment access for patients in all areas.”
It’s the project of Thanet, the hospital’s owner, and he says that it’s something to leave to his children as he plans to retire soon. One of those children, Jet, is a charmer who looks to inherit everything.
But not everything is hunky-dory, as we find out that this isn’t their project, and they’ve taken credit for it when it’s actually the project of…I’m gonna say this is Arisa. Is there going to be betrayals within the family? Is Arisa a daughter of Thanet, or is she not related to the family?
Offroad’s character finally enters, and it’s definitely a departure from his role in Century of Love. He enters the boardroom, and it looks like the rest of the family isn’t quite happy he’s here. Jet definitely isn’t happy that Pheem — Offroad’s character — is back. Where’s Pheem been, though?
The brothers confront each other outside the boardroom, and we find out that they’re half-brothers. Pheem is the mistress’ son, kinda like Ha-Joon from Secret Ingredient! He’s been living in Singapore, but came back to Thailand at Thanet’s request that he take over the role of executive director of strategic planning. It looks like Jet isn’t the only one unhappy about Pheem’s return. Arisa — she’s Jet’s sister and Pheem half-sister! — is worried as well, and Jet drives the knife even deeper by telling her that Pheem’s just got back but his position in the company is already higher than hers.
We then get an absolutely essential scene in the bathtub, where Pheem is washing himself, with the door open. Oh baby.

We then get a flashback to what I assume is Pheem’s childhood. JET’S MOM KILLED HIS MOM BY RUNNING HER OVER WITH HER CAR. DAMN. We’re going all in! The “accident” also gives Pheem a wound on his back, judging by the blood they show on the clothes, and he’s covered that in adulthood with a pretty nice tattoo of a white snake amongst roses.
Jet’s mom is unsurprisingly abusive, even pushing Pheem down a flight of stairs when he was a child. We really are going full-on soap opera, and I love it. Go big or go home!
Did somebody say go big or go home?

Jet is looking into what Pheem has been doing in Singapore, and we find out that Pheem is kind of a real estate magnate there. Now I don’t know about real estate law there in Singapore, but I do know that they’re not the nicest to other Southeast Asians. There’s a reason Filipinos, Indonesians, and Thais always ~bully~ them online. But I am willing to suspend my disbelief! Jet is suspicious as to why Pheem is back since Pheem’s Singapore real estate projects are only at 10 million, and I don’t understand how that relates either. Maybe this is a bad translation of the dialogue and makes more sense in Thai? Either way, Jet isn’t even entertaining the thought that Pheem might just be the successor to his father.
The next day, Pheem is tailed by a man on a motorcycle. I’m assuming this is Jet’s henchman? But Pheem notices that he’s being tailed and goes into…evasive maneuvers, I guess? He ends up hitting another guy on a motorcycle…and it’s Daou! Or rather, Than, the character Daou is playing. Of course, Than is less than happy being hit by a freaking car, but Pheem is already into him from the moment he took off his motorcycle helmet.
They do not get along at first sight, with Than saying Pheem is a bad driver — fair! — while Pheem thinks Than is a scammer trying to blackmail him for money. The tension is thick, and you just know the sex is going to be great when they finally do it.
Also, I love the reversal of roles here from Century of Love? Offroad’s playing the elitist rich guy here, while Daou’s your off-the-earth, blue collar guy. Exciting and refreshing!
Rather than face the police and discuss compensation with Than, Pheem drives away and just leaves his calling card. Turns out he was on his way to his mom’s grave, which is why he just wasn’t in the mood to deal with Than and all of that. There’s somebody else there — someone Pheem’s mom asked to take care of Pheem — and she tells Pheem that she doesn’t approve of what he’s planning. He’s planning to take over his dad’s company and leave nothing for Jet, which sets up the arc for the rest of the nine remaining episodes. Eight, if you’re counting the episodes that have already aired, but I haven’t watched because they don’t have subtitles yet.
The next day, Thanet calls over the siblings and tells them of his latest project: basically a luxury assisted living facility for rich old people. He’s looking for someone to lead the project, and that someone has to have a clean image so that they can attract investors to sink money into the project.
Jet is not happy that Thanet is making it a competition between him and Pheem, and he tells Pheem to go back to Singapore. A Singaporean has probably shouted, “Go back to (poorer Southeast Asian country)” to some Thai person before. ANYWAYS, Pheem is so cunty, because he tells Jet to his face that he’s planning to get it all. When Jet tells him that he took care of Jet and his mother before, and that he can do it again, Pheem retorts that it’s actually Jet’s mom that did the “taking care off” and that Jet probably can’t do anything on his own. The shade of it all.
We take a break from the family drama of it all, as Than finally arrives at the hospital that Pheem’s family owns. Pheem’s already left him a check, with an amount of money that I can’t determine because I can’t read Thai script and I’m not invested enough to use Google Lens to find out the amount. Than does wait around for Pheem to make an appearance, and he returns the check to him because the amount is “too much”, so I’m guessing it’s a lot of money.
Also did somebody say too much?

Anyways, Pheem finally gives Than the amount needed for his medical bills and just his medical bills, to finally end this thing between the two of them. But of course, we know that this isn’t going to be the end, especially now that Pheem has called Than “interesting”. They’re going to have the hottest hate sex.
We then see Than at…whatever this place is…with his friends, who tell him he’s stupid for returning the ฿100,000 he was offered. ฿100,000 is ₱178,355, and if somebody offered that to me, I would have no problem accepting that amount. I have no pride!
We also find out that Than is a former policeman, and his friends are also policeman, and this place where they are is a store? a shop? that Than plans to open soon. It’s now Than’s turn to have his backstory shown, and we find out that he’s been framed and made to resign from the police force after he gets caught with a duffle bag full of money. It’s the reason why he didn’t accept the money that Pheem was giving him, because it felt too much like a bribe.
PRODUCT PLACEMENT!

After that product placement, we get to see Pheem reporting to his father, who likes that Pheem’s already cut down the company’s expenses. I don’t know how Pheem plans to take over the company, but it definitely isn’t because of his social skills, because he flat out threatens his father that he knows about his past. To Thanet’s credit, he’s not worried about Pheem’s threats and tells him to show why he deserves the company instead.
Back in his own office, Pheem discovers that someone’s left a list for him, and judging from the background music, these are very important lists. Unfortunately, I do not understand the jargon. There’s also close-up shots of some of the files left with Pheem, but I unfortunately cannot read the Thai script and don’t know what the significance of those files are yet.
Pheem takes the files to his mom’s friend, and we find out that these are medical reimbursement slips for a pharmaceutical opioid that only doctors can file because the drugs are too addictive. An opening for Pheem to explot once the time comes.
Or maybe use it now! Pheem finds out which doctor is reimbursing the addictive opioid, while his mom’s friend finds out that it may be Jet himself selling the opioids outside the hospital for people to get high on. He’s willing to use it against hi brother even if his mom’s friend thinks its a trap, but he might not live long enough to do that because as he’s driving home, he gets accosted by a bunch of people with bats.
He’s able to fight some of them off, but the one to actually fight them off is Than, who stumbles upon this whole assassination attempt. Don’t ask. Despite the fact that they didn’t quite get along on their first meeting, Than just can’t let someone in danger go out into the night unprotected, so he agrees to ride give Pheem a ride. He even lets Pheem wear the helmet and I bet Pheem’s hole fluttered a little. He also tells Pheem to hang on tight and I know Pheem’s hole is loose.
I thought Than was just going to take Pheem back to his car, but apparently, the ride was all the way to Pheem’s place, where Pheem starts talking to him wearing just a bathrobe. Pheem is also not so subtly making Than stay longer, even offering to wash his clothes for him, seeing as he has a washing machine and dryer and all that.
I had to to make a gallery out of the next sequence of events because girl.

And just like the first episode of Century of Love, these two homosexuals end the episode in a compromising position. Is it written into their contracts or something?
This is a new addition to the posts, but if any of you guys like what I do, feel free to leave me a tip!
