Ron Watches Rearrange the Series Episode 10

It’s the finale! I know, it’s late, and you all have probably watched it already, but I’ve had a few anxiety-filled days at work and it’s just been difficult, you know? But we’re here now, so let’s see how this story ends!

We saw in the previous episode that while Nut has survived his brain tumor, a relationship with Win might still not be in the cards, since his father is determined to ship him off to England and curtail his dream to become a musician. But will all that change as a label has offered to release a tape of the band?

The episode starts with Win completing his checklist. Nut’s alive! He told him he liked him! They made out! They got an offer from a record label! This is the final episode of the show, so there better not be a tragic twist! We also get to see Nut show the record label offer to his dad, and it looks like the dad relented. The show doesn’t make it definitive, though.

While Nut and Win may have gotten a win, Service Top Chai and Bossy Bottom Aek still have this weird thing going on between them. Chai is avoiding Aek, and, Aek doesn’t know why. But we do get confirmation that the dad did agree to postpone the England trip because the band is set to record in a few days. The straight girl/lesbian duo of Biu and Lin are also getting along well, so it really is just the rich boy and the boy from the wrong side of the tracks that are on the outs.

Aek finally confronts Chai about his cold behavior, and now we find out the truth: Chai just wants to become a ~better man~ so he can be worthy of Aek. And by ~better~ he means richer. The admission tickles Aek so much that he’s willing to wait until that time comes. Oh, you are a bottom.

Elsewhere, Biu is charming Lin by remembering the food that she likes, and telling her that there’s a specific look in her face that tells her when she likes the food she’s eating. Lin’s even taken a Polaroid of her taken by Biu and is all smiles looking at it, but she gets a dose of reality when her mother asks her if she’s taken care of her visa application for England.

Meanwhile, the band’s debut tape sells a million copies. Okay! Chai has also left his gang since he’s now a ~public figure~, but if the translation is correct, he’s embarking on one last fight with the gang? Am I getting this correctly? Again, okay! Nut’s dad continues to be an asshole, reprimanding his wife for buying his son’s tape, and Nut has finally had enough and confronts his dad, pointing out how he’s never satisfied. Could have been better acted, to be frank, but it’s not horrible.

Back at Aek’s palatial home, the guys are bragging about how they’ve sold a million tapes, but there’s more good news coming, as the producer has told them that they’re going to be staging a concert. Congrats! But why do I have the feeling that something fucked up is going to happen, because these are just too many good things happening all at once?

With practice done, the guys disperse, with Chai off to a fight, and Biu picking out stuff for Lin to take with her to England. Lin looks fond of Biu, so maybe a sapphic awakening is in the cards. Meanwhile, Win and Nut are together, and Win is letting Nut be the first to hear a new song he’s written. The two of them also talk about the possibility of coming out to friends fans and family and folks at home, and Win wisely uses his knowledge of the future to tell Nut that they should wait a little longer because things are going to change.

Over at…wherever it is Chai and his gang are, Aek once again follows despite being told not to, and Chai admits that he’s getting into this one final fight because he wants to make sure that Aek is safe moving forward. Absolutely toxic behavior, and I love it. After hearing that this is the only thing that is keeping Service Top Chai from sticking it in him, Aek flexes his wealth to finally end the gang war between the two. See, this is what Batman should have done instead of beating up low level criminals! And Aek even gets a kiss for his trouble! They don’t show it, but I’m okay with that!

Lin finally moves on over to the sapphic side of the street and admits that she likes Biu as well, and both of Nut’s parents even attend the big concert! Happy endings for everyone!

I didn’t think we’d actually get a happy ending for this series, so I’m actually happy that it did happen. That said, I wish they paced it better, because what ended up happening is that all the solutions just came rushing in during the final few episodes, rather than organically happening throughout the series. That said, I thought this was one of the better Thai BLs I’ve watched, and I’d check out another project from this group if the premise interests me.

If any of you guys like what I do, feel free to leave me a tip!
