After probably the most awkward lip sync on Drag Race España in the previous episode, will the lip syncs improve? I mean, you guys probably already know because this is being posted days after the show aired. Work has been hectic, okay! Let me just watch it when I can!
Nori has been sent home, and Krystal Forever says she’s sad to see her go and thinks that she’s an artist that’s going to go far. Of course, it’s easy to be gracious when you’ve survived the lip sync. Back in the Werk Room, the queens make some good-natured jokes about Nori’s apparent inability to count. Krystal doesn’t think it’s funny, though, and of course it starts friction with the other younger queens. Seeing as I am now ancient, I understand this friction between young and old. Sometimes it is irritating as an older person to see a young person looking like they’re not taking things seriously, but maybe that’s just how the young person processes things, you know? One really has to know a person better before passing judgment.
We also find out that the queens don’t know who’s going to receive the half-heart that Nori left behind. The way I understood it from the first episode is that the queens would know, but I guess that’s me misunderstanding!
The next day in the Werk Room, the queens find a sewing kit on one of the tables, and Alexandra immediately offers herself up to the storyline because she says in the confessional that she can’t sew for shit. So, production is either going to put her in the bottom or give her a Rudemption storyline and give her a win. There’s also a number of queens who say they don’t sew, but Eva thinks not all of them are being honest about their lack of skills, or their supposed skills either.
Supremme enters the Werk Room and confirms that this week is indeed the Sewing Challenge week, and that the queens will be walking down the runway in two outfits. The first one is red carpet, and Supremme stresses that they’ll be wearing the actual red carpet. So does this mean outfits made out of the red carpet? It’s not the one that they’re supposed to make, because that’s the second look, which they have to make based on these pictures that they’re picking from a table. But they’re not just simply picking it, because other queens can steal from another just one time, if they prefer that other queen’s picture.
Margarita is actually the first one of the queens to steal a photo, and then it’s Denébola stealing from Nix, because to be fair, that black and white outfit really screams Denébola. She’s the last queen to steal, as Krystal decides not to do it. All the photos they have are of Rossy de Palma, who is the inspiration for the look that they’re actually going to make. And they’re going to make the outfits from upcycled fabric! How cool!
The queens start to work on their designs, and Eva Harrington is starting to stress out as she says that she has no sewing skills. Krystal’s confident about her chances, but then again, she always talks a big game and doesn’t necessarily deliver. It’s a good thing that Ana Locking is there to give advice, and real helpful advice. I always trust Anna Locking, and I don’t blame La Escándalo for starting over because if it’s contrary to Anna Locking’s opinion, then you’re the problem.
From the walkthrough, it really looks like La Escándalo and Alexandra may be in the bottom, but then again, production does these things to trip the viewers up. Maybe they’re emphasizing that they’re having a hard time so that there’s a twist later in the episode and they come out with some great looks. We shall see!
One of the queens who’ll probably place in the top is Dafne, because it looks like she’s farthest in the actual sewing, and she’s got a touching story to go with it. She learned how to sew from her mother, but her mother’s been unable to sew for the past two years because of a brain tumor. Damn. I hope her mother pulls through!
Denébola may or may not survive this challenge as well, because as she points out, she’s been saying that this is her challenge, but the design she’s come up with requires a lot of work and there’s been more than one occasion of a queen going home on the challenge they’re supposedly good at.
The next day, Krystal is being sulky because no one helped her out, but she helped a lot of people out, and I gotta say all of this is no longer amusing. If you’re going to help other people out expecting repayment, at least be upfront about it? Or just flat out not help them at all, because this is a competition and you seem like you’re comfortable with being the villain. Of course, Krystal’s sulking starts ~discourse~ and now the whole table is responding to her and gawd this all sounds like Twitter stan wars and I hate it. Maybe in the ~early years~, before the world became the hellhole it is now, I would have relished this argument, but now, in my old age? I have had it.
Nix is especially affected by Krystal’s attitude, actually even crying about it while preparing for the runway. And Krystal isn’t helping make matters any better because she keeps on being antagonistic. It’s like Angelita La Perversa all over again, but I didn’t find Angelita La Perversa as abrasive as this, to be honest.
The runway show finally starts and we’re starting off strong with Ferrxn’s look. But that look is completely forgotten, and now actually looks bad, to be honest, once Dafne Mugler walks in. Wow. That is a look. I kinda found everybody lacking after that, to be honest. I think only Denébola’s look was the only other standout.
When we get to the Rossy runway, Ferrxn’s look is…well. I don’t think it fits her well? And I’m not sold on the looks that follow either. Or at least until we get to Dafne Mugler, who saves the day like she did with her red carpet look. I also liked Margarita’s look, although I do wish the shoe was also pink. Laca Udilla is another highlight, although I swear to god I can’t remember what she wore for her red carpet look. Denébola also stands out, so I guess it’s going to be her and Dafne in the top this episode.
Nix, La Escándalo, Alexandra, Eva, and Krystal are safe this episode. From the critiques, Satin and Ferexn definitely sound like they’re going to be in the bottom, while Dafne, Laca Udilla, and Denébola are the top queens, and well-deserved!
Back in the Werk Room, there’s still tension between Nix and Krystal, although they keep that in the confessionals and don’t say it to each other’s faces. But what really stuck with me was Satin throwing in the towel, because I didn’t expect her to be the one to do it.
Denébola wins the episode and I say deserved! Satin Greco also gets Nori’s half-heart, which means she can either save herself or Ferrxn or Margarita. And Satin doesn’t save herself, but Ferrxn! I had the same face as Los Javis!

The queens were all shocked as well, and Ferrxn actually burst into tears. My goodness, Drag Race España definitely still hasn’t run out of tricks! And to be fair to Satin, she doesn’t give up on the lip sync like I thought she would. It’s a very emotional performance from her and Margarita, with me even tearing up a little despite not knowing what the words meant. The judges and the queens are crying because the song probably fits this moment perfectly, which makes me kinda wish I kept on with the Spanish classes I took literal decades ago.
Margarita shantays, but she can’t even rejoice in her win because she’s so sad to see Satin go. BUT THEN SATIN ALSO GETS TO STAY. Damn, they really wanted Nori out!
If any of you guys like what I do, feel free to leave me a tip!
