Ron Watches The Wicked Game Episode 3

In the previous episode, we saw a Fentanyl-addled Pheem grope Than. We also saw Pheem being rescued from bullies by another kid who calls himself Thunderman, who I suspect really is “Than”derman. What will we find out in this third episode? Let’s watch and see!

Than is still at Pheem’s home at the start of the episode, helping him recover from his Fentanyl hangover. Despite that little hiccup, Pheem was still successful in recovering that Fentanyl bottle, which is a cause for celebration.

Not a cause of celebration for Jet, of course, who has just heard the bad news from his bodyguard who he definitely has chemistry with. I haven’t checked yet, but I feel someone out there is writing Dom/Sub fic of these two.

Over at Pheem’s place, they’re looking through hospital records to prove that the Fentanyl was taken from the hospital, but of Pheem has to get some flirting in while working. He lays down on Than’s lap, a sweet moment that is cut short by Than finally matching the bottle to a bottle in the hospital’s records.

The next day, there’s a rush to the elevators as Jet and his bodyguard and Pheem and Tan both have their reasons to meet Thanet. They both get in the elevators at the same time, which results in a face-off.

It’s Pheem who gets to talk with their father first, and now there’s an investigation within the company to see if Pheem’s claims are true. He also gets to wiggle out from an accusation of framing Jet because he was still in Singapore when the Fentanyl started getting smuggled out of the family hospital.

While that’s happening, Jet and his bodyguard are trying to find a way to get out of this mess. We also find out that Jet did frame Thun for bribery. At least that wasn’t a lie on Pheem’s part! Jet is stressed out about it and for a moment there I thought his bodyguard was going to ~comfort~ him.

Do you guys see the vision?

We also get another product placement shot. Damn, these toothpaste companies have a lot of money to throw around! That product placement shot was made by one of Than’s friends, who is investigating the people that thrashed Than’s place. Oh, you can already see the conflic that’s going to arise between Pheem and Than once Than finds out about the truth.

But before that happens, we get to see Than thrusting into the camera in a completely gratuitous shot. Pheem’s visited him at his place, and as it turns out Than and his friends from the police force are out to go get drunk, which is how we get Than thrusting into the camera as he prepares to sing some karaoke. Totally gratuitous!

Of course, this is also the perfect opportunity for Pheem to find himself growing ever fonder of Than. Than even teaches Pheem how to sing, but I’m pretty sure it’s a different microphone Pheem wants to sing to, if you know you know.

DID SOMEBODY SAY IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW?

Stream it on Spotify as well!

Than eventually gets drunk, drunk enough to admit to Pheem that he doesn’t want his feelings to be toyed with. He wants a serious relationship, Pheem! He’s dating to marry!

Pheem drives Than to his place, but before they get there they find themselves at the same playground we saw in Pheem’s childhood memory. And would you look at that, they didn’t drag the “Than”derman reveal! Than’s drunk when he says this, but Pheem is very sober, so he knows. We find out that Than gave him a ring way back then!

The next day, we find out that Pheem has been in love with Than since that time. Pheem’s mom’s friend even called Than Pheem’s first love. Unfortunately, love isn’t the main thing that Pheem is preoccupied with. He wants revenge for his mother, and he’s not letting Than or love get in the way of that.

Than might just get in Pheem’s way soon enough, as Than’s friend from the police force has seen CCTV footage of Pheem’s car when Than’s place got attacked. They don’t know its Pheem’s car just yet, but they’re already checking the license plate so it’s only a matter of time.

Elswhere, Thanet is talking to a government official, and after saying that its harder to investigate medical equipment and expenses, convinces him to work towards getting the government to invest in his wellness center project. It’s all very much like contractor corruption issue here!

The government official’s condition is to make the project look “clean”, which of course leads to Thanet confronting Jet because the international investigation’s shown that there is some truth to Pheem’s accusation. Jet insists he was framed, but Thanet isn’t hearing any of it and essentialy exiles Jet, sending him to Da Nang to oversee a project there. It’s hard to feel any pity for him because he’s rude to Arisa, who’s outwardly been supportive of him. I say outwardly because as we saw from the previous episode, Arisa instructed her bodyguard to help Than and Pheem escape from Jet’s bodyguard. Jet throws a fit and even brings up his mom, which gets him a slap from Thanet.

Just when it looks like Pheem has succeeded in neutralizing Jet, in walks Jet’s bodyguard, with ~evidence~ that Wut, the head of the company’s drug inventory, is behind the drug dealing. While Thanet’s away, Jet is totally a stupid villainous mastermind and admits that he did do it, and that he’s framed Wut and Than before. Jet has probably not read Watchmen.

Than and Pheem resolve to find Wut, dead or alive. And where’s Wut? Apprehended by Jet’s bodyguard and presumably killed. Jet doesn’t appreciate his bodyguard enough, to be honest. He should be kneeling in front of that man and sucking him off.

Elsewhere, Thanet is meeting with the government official, who is hesitant about pushing through with the project as he’s seen the video of Pheem drugged out of his mind from the party. After giving Pheem a couple of slaps — Thanet sure does love slapping his kids — he fires Pheem from his position and tells him to go back to Singapore. Thanet even makes sure to insult Pheem’s mother in the process.

To add insult to injury, Jet is also there to gloat and further insult Pheem’s mother. My goodness, she’s already dead, stop it already! Than does get a couple of punches in, but it really does look like Pheem’s already lost. But there’s still seven episodes left, so maybe there’s still something that’s going to happen.

What might happen next is Arisa makes her move, because Jet is an asshole who just antagonizes her constantly, even if she hasn’t shown her hand yet. Jet, babe, you can’t live your life like this. You’re just pushing away possible allies.

Than, meanwhile, is worried about Pheem, who he hasn’t been able to contact since that confrontation with Jet. He talks to Pheem’s mom’s friend, who isn’t just a friend, but is actually his aunt. I swear this is the first time they’re revealing this, unless previous subtitles were wrong. Which is a definite possibility because the subs for this episode had so many mistakes.

Anyways, Pheem’s aunt tells Than where to find him, and Than better get to him fast, because it looks like Jet is sending his bodyguard to kill Pheem. Jet’s bodyguard is way too loyal to him that I really can’t but think that the two of them have got something more than an employer-employee relationship going on.

Than gets to Pheem first, and Pheem is there shirtless. Because of course. Pheem opens up about his mom, and Than reassures him that he’s not alone, that he’s here for him. And all of you BL veterans know where this is going. The two of them kiss.

Oh, Than is definitely into it.
