After several episodes where nobody went home, the previous episode of Drag Race España saw two queens — La Escándalo and Eva Harrington — get sent home by Nix. I think that this is going to be the sole double elimination of the season, but let’s see what happens!
Walking back into the Werk Room after the double elimination, it’s Dafne who mourns Eva’s departure the most, something which surprised me, because I didn’t see anything that would show that they were close. I guess the production didn’t think it was important enough for the plot! Alexandra and La Escándalo being close didn’t surprise me as much, although I don’t think I saw anything that showed this either. Krystal is sad as well, but just like Alexandra, I think Krystal’s sad to maximize her airtime. Airtime?!?
There’s very little small talk in the Werk Room the next day. The queens were only able to point out that there’s fewer of them now before Supremme enters and tells them that today is the day for the reading challenge. And boy does Ferrxn read. That incest read she had for Alexandra? Hilarious. It’s no surprise that she wins.
Supremme then says this week is going to be Snatch Game week, and then quickly leaves as the queens prepare. As the queens prepare, Krystal says she wasn’t bothered by the reads she got, but it seems like she was very much bothered by all of it. There’s also some accusations being made about Margarita stealing reads, but as of now, nothing major comes out of it.
During the walkthrough with Supremme, I really didn’t get any clues as to who could possibly bomb the Snatch Game, because it seemed almost all of them made good choices, or maybe I just thought that because I don’t know a lot of the celebrities they’re playing. I say almost all of them made good choices, because Brays Efe pointblack tells Krystal Forever — who’s planning to do Celia Cruz — that Lineysha Sparx went home because of her Celia Cruz Snatch Game.
Snatch Game starts and my opinion on it might differ from actual Spanish-speaking people who know the references. I thought Laca Udilla’s Franco and Margarita’s Torrente (?) had the jokes that were funny even if you didn’t get all the references. Nix, I thought, was also good, but she does complain that here seatmates make it hard for her to interact and put herself in the spotflight for Snatch Game. So I might be wrong! Satin also eventually got my attention as the game progressed.
The next day, Krystal insists she felt great about her performance, but did feel like she was being ~cut off~ for no apparent reason, making it impossible to really deliver her punchlines. But as Nix points out in her confessional, Krystal just wasn’t funny, period.
The conversations pretty free-flowing as the queens prepare for the runway, with Alexandra del Raval talking about how she’s trying to make it just doing drag, and that’s resulte din her just scrimping and saving. The queens also talk about growing up studying in Catholic school and boy, do I have something to contribute to that discussion. But hearing Ferrxn talk about her experience? I guess I still had a good time!
The runway theme for this week is tulle, and while I thought all of the outfits were good, Dafne Mugler’s? ¡Delicioso! Denébola Murnau’s? I was giving Ana Locking face.

Laca, Dafne, and Denébola are safe, and I think it’s Denébola’s runway that saved her from the bottom because she didn’t really stand out in the Snatch Game.
The critiques start with Satin, and it’s obvious that she’s getting a top placement. Ferrxn gets praised for her Snatch Game, but read for her runway, which now that the judges are pointing it out, isn’t as impressive as the other queens. It’s the opposite for Alexandra, who gets praise for her runway, but got read for her Snatch Game. And to be quite frank, Javier Calvo was right. It was just not funny.
Margarita gets praise, but its the Nix and Krystal critiques that are the real highlight. I don’t think it’s going to be a Nix and Krystal lip sync, but the eidtiing makes it look like they lobbed softballs at Nix and really went in on Krystal, probably to make Krystal explode in the Werk Room later. Let’s see.
And the queen to really trigger Krystal is Satin, which surprised me! I thought they got along! Once Alexandra goes in as well, Krystal walks out, but only after telling the crew that they should help her get out of her outfit or she’s going to rip it off herself. The crew doesn’t help her, so she walks out. And then she walks back in with Laca noticing and Laca is blabbing. Nothing bad about Krystal, thanfully, but it’s hilarious to watch.
Satin wins this episode, and Ferrxn’s Snatch Game outweighs the judges’ opinions on her outfit and gets her to safety. The bottom three are Alexandra, Nix, and Krystal, while the heart goes to Margarita, who now has to decide who the bottom two will be. Damn. And she decides on Nix! I knew we weren’t going to have a Nix-Krystal showdown.
Now. The lip sync. I’m not a Spanish speaker, but it did look like Krystal didn’t know the words? Spanish speakers, correct me if I’m wrong! Alexandra had the more emotional performance, but I just don’t like queens de-dragging during a performance. But I do admit that that comes from years watching multiple versions of Drag Race. I might be slightly jaded. The judges pick Alexandra, which is fair! But who’s going to be the villain now moving forward?
If any of you guys like what I do, feel free to leave me a tip!
