Than and Pheem finally kiss sober in the previous episode! Let’s see the aftermath of that action in this episode!
Than and Pheem’s kiss doesn’t last for very long, because Jet’s bodyguard and assorted minions arrive at Pheem’s mom’s former house and shoot everything up, from the outside. I thought they were going to stop there, but they at least go inside the house too. If you’re going to kill someone, at least be thorough!
For some reason, Pheem’s mom’s former house is connected to what looks to be a factory? Which, okay, that’s not so weird. It’s not like you haven’t seen arrangements like that right her as well. Pheem and Than manage to keep Jet’s goons at bay for a bit, but they eventually get cornered. When all hope seems lost, they get rescued by Arisa and her bodyguard, which I guess formalizes the Pheem-Arisa alliance.
Of course, Jet is not happy about this at all, and beats his minions for the failure. Well, beats most of them, because his hot bodyguard doesn’t get a beating. Hot bodyguard also didn’t see that it was Arisa and her bodyguard who interfered and saved Pheem and Than.
And where is Pheem and Than? In a nice and interior decorated safehouse that Arisa bought under her friend’s name. Arisa doesn’t want to be under Jet anymore, and thinks that there won’t be a place for her in the company if Jet is the one that wins this succession war. It’s also here that we find out that Arisa’s mother was also a mistress. I swear this is the first time they’ve mentioned it. Anyways, the two of them have to hide out for a bit, so I am guessing we’re going the forced proximity route this episode.
Back in the outside world, Thanet is confronted by Than, despite Pheem telling Than to leave Thanet alone. Than finds out for himself that Thanet isn’t winning Best Dad anytime soon. Pheem told you and you didn’t listen! When Pheem confronts him later on about speaking to his father despite Pheem telling him not to, Than is still on the “But you guys are family!” train of thought and thinks the family can talk it out. It’s amazing how he hasn’t become cynical, even after he got framed and kicked out of a job he liked.
Than always trying to see the good in people isn’t going to help him navigate this family, that’s for sure. While Arisa wants Jet out just like Pheem, she isn’t exactly an ally either. She figures out that Pheem wants Than in a ~carnal~ way, and now she wants in on it too. She engages him in conversation after he emerges from the pool, and maybe Than isn’t a naive as I thought because he tells Arisa that he’s aware that Pheem is only using him to bring down Jet.
Unbeknownst to the two of them — or maybe Arisa knew and that’s why she did this — Pheem has been watching the two of them talking. Pheem confront Than in the shower about this, and tells him not to hang around his sister. I don’t think it’s because he’s jealous, though, but simply because Pheem doesn’t trust anybody. He also confronts Arisa, who tells him that she’s not interested in Than that way, which we know is a lie. Pheem telling her to back off probably just made Than even more desirable to her.
Over at Jet’s, he’s in the sauna once more, this time with the politician that Thanet was talking to in the previous episode. We find out that this politician was actually close to Jet’s mom, and the only reason he worked with Thanet is because of Jet. This is a very tangled web! Pheem’s aunt, who has been spying on Jet, manages to take photos of Jet with this politician post-sauna, and sends it to Pheem after. Pheem and Arisa realize that once the government official and Thanet sign the contract for the wellness center, there’s going to be nothing left for the two of them, so…they put a bomb in the official’s car? Or at least, that’s what the show’s implying when the scene they show after Pheem and Arisa try to think of a way to stop the contract signing is the official’s car blowing up.
Than isn’t happy about this assassination by car bomb and confronts Pheem and Arisa about it, but Pheem insists that he at least didn’t do it. Than insists that the government official may have been a corrupt one, but he still didn’t deserve to die like that. And…let’s agree to disagree! In this social environment, I think a lot of people are fine with blowing up corrupt politicians. People are tired, Than.
So, if Pheem didn’t do it, was it Arisa? The show isn’t clear about this! But the argument that Pheem and Than have tells Arisa that Pheem cares about Than, and she thinks caring about someone makes you weak. Now, she has a card she can use against Pheem if needed. Is Arisa going to become the show’s final boss, in a twist like the one in My Golden Blood? We shall see.
Back at the safehouse, Pheem is still waiting for Than to come back to him. When Than does come back, Pheem insists that he didn’t have the corrupt politician killed, but Than is still put off by everything that’s happened. He threatens to quit, and Pheem promises him that they’ll find out who killed the corrup politician after they take down Jet. Than agrees to Pheem’s proposal, but tells him that if he’s involved in the politician’s killing, he’ll never forgive him.
Back to Thanet and Jet, someone has set Thanet photos of Jet and the corrupt officials’ meeting, which result in Thanet slapping yet another of his sons. We also find out that Thanet knew Jet was behind the Fentanyl selling ring, but that he chose to fire Pheem instead because he wanted to protect his eldest son. It’s giving a little bit of Cersei-Joffrey, although I only watched the first season of that show. Thanet tells Jet that he needs to find another source of funds for the wellness center project, or else he’ll summon Pheem back to help out/.
Back at the safehouse, Arisa’s bodyguard is showing photos of Jet meeting with other investors, and she’s using the refrigerator to show these pictures. THE REFRIGERATOR.

Arisa says that Pheem needs to come back to the company, but Pheem says now’s not the time. When he does return, he says it’s going to be unexpected and exciting. Hmmm. Let’s see.
We then get another character! It’s someone named Jason, and I’m guessing he’s a richie from Singapore because he and Pheem are taking in Engish. Or at least at the start, because she switches to Thai soon enough. Than asks Arisa who Jason is, and Arisa tells him that Jason is Pheem’s sugar daddy. SUGAR DADDY. Pheem has a sugar dadddy.
I, on the other hand, have never had a sugar daddy. If I wanted a sugar daddy, yes I could probably go out and get one because I am what? Sickening. You could never have a sugar daddy because you are not that kind of girl. Baby, everything I’ve had I worked for and I’ve gotten myself. I’ve built myself from the ground up. Bitch!
Once Jason and Pheem are alone in a room, Jason puts his hands on Pheem, and not in a sexy way. It seems like Pheem swindled millions from Jason, and Jason wants to choke the life out of him. However, once they’re face to face, it’s something else that Jason wants to choke, if you know what I mean. There’s a weird zoom at this point, and I’m guessing it’s because I’m watching this on YouTube, so they’re censoring Jason cupping Pheem’s crotch. Babes, I don’t have enough money to pay for another streaming service, so I guess where Jason’s hand is is forever going to be a mystery to me.
Outside, Than is trying hard to make it seem like he isn’t jealous, but Arisa isn’t some dumb bitch. She makes these tiny little jabs at Than, and Than maybe isn’t aware that Arisa is playing him.
Inside the room where there are no others, Jason proves he’s dickmatized because he tries to get it on with Pheem, but Pheem has to tell him that they need to talk business first before they get to ~other things~. I thought the business was Pheem presenting Jason as an alternative source of funding for the wellness center to counter whoever Jet comes up with, but it seems like Pheem’s plan is to have Jason snatch away any investors Thanet and Jet approach. And Jason is doing it with Pheem on his arm as his date. I gotta admit, I cackled when Pheem walked in.
Thanet and Jet are frustrated, but so is Than. Jason’s help doesn’t come for free, and Than is realizing that maybe he doesn’t want Pheem doing what he has to do for that money.
