Pheem’s sugar daddy is in town, and he wants Pheem to work hard for that money by the end of the previous episode. Than may be having second thoughts. Let’s see what happens in this episode!
We start off this episode with Than at the bar with his policeman friends. He’s singing again, and if it’s anything like the last time, he’ll blurt out once again that he’s dating to marry and is looking for commitment. His policemen buddies are noticing that he’s really belting out those notes this particular night out, so Pheem working for that money must have really shook him. He’s even got this draft message that he can’t send to Pheem over Line.
And what is Pheem doing? Scheming with Jason. While they’ve cut off one funding source, Jason thinks it won’t take long before Thanet to find a new source of funding. Pheem doesn’t think so, because apparently the company’s being sued? This was not mentioned. Or maybe it was and I wasn’t paying attention. Pheem is pretty confident that he can get Thanvej for Jason, and just like Jason, I’m going to wait and see.

Or, we were about to see it. Someone’s following Pheem’s aunt, and when Pheem gets the call from Than — because Than was who his aunt called first — he leaves Jason with blue balls. AND IT TURNS OUT IT WAS JUST A LATE PATIENT. OH THAN YOU ARE A PIECE OF WORK. He still called Pheem despite knowing that it was nothing.
While Pheem is initially angry, he pretty quickly figures out that Than is jealous. Pheem has to tell him that he and Jason are just business partners and nothing more. Oh, Than. Just face your feelings and tell Pheem you wanna crack him.
Arisa is also doing her part with regard to the Thanavej takeover. She’s leaked the company’s finances, and it looks like it’s going bankrupt! Investors are threatening to withdraw their money if the wellness center project isn’t started by next week, and Thanet and Jet are not happy. Arisa interrupts their tantrum to tell them that someone’s here to see Thanet, and that someone is Pheem. He’s ~representing~ Jason, who’s looking to get into Thanvej. Jet’s furious, but Thanet asks to see Pheem in his office.
Gotta say, while the actor portraying Jet is hot, he kinda only has one thing he does, which is shout. It was okay the first few times, but we’re halfway through the season and it’s still the same schtick. If this was a Drag Race acting challenge, Ru would have said the performance needed peaks and valleys.
Inside Thanet’s office, things aren’t proceeding the way Thanet would have wanted it. Pheem isn’t rattled by any of his verbal jabs, and he even throws Jet’s drug dealing in his face. Pheem eventually wins him over, and Arisa even gets a promotion since she set up the meeting. Jet is probably going to shout again later on in the show.
And that time is now! Jet and his bodyguard chase Pheem and Than to the parking lot, where he shouts at them again. BUT he does one thing successfully, which is to sow doubt into Than’s brain when it comes to Pheem. He tells Than that Pheem’ll discard him once he’s done using him, and Pheem doesn’t amke things better when he messages Than the next day that he doesn’t need to go to work.
However, Than still goes to see Pheem, because he’s found Wut, the man Jet used as the patsy. He also wants files from the hospital regarding the previous investigation on Jet, because there’s a new police chief who’s willing to put him back on the force if he can prove his innocence with regards to his past bribery case. Pheem tells him that it’ll have to wait since he’s busy, and that’s when Than finds out that Pheem’s busy with Jason. He’s ~hurt~ and walks out. Than, baby, you are not the boyfriend. You are the bodyguard. Five Gs, Than!
Than goes to the bar to drown his sorrows, and who just happens to be there? Arisa’s bodyguard, who tells Than that he can’t be so naive to think that Pheem and Arisa are good and virtuous people who are doing all of these to stop the scourge of fentanyl addiction. It’s a war of succession, and what matters is who get the company.
The next day, Arisa’s bodyguard reports the ~friction~ between Pheem and Than, and Arisa is okay with that. Plans within plans! However, Arisa’s good mood is cut short by Jet’s entrance, who is probably gearing up his esophagus for a new shouting session. However, Arisa doesn’t back down this time around, and even spills coffee on Jet’s shirt. I do wish she threw it at his face though, because that’s what he did to her!
Now that Arisa and Jet have had their confrontation, it’s Pheem and Than’s turn. Than tells Pheem that he knows he’s being used, despite him wishing otherwise. But before the two of them can truly discuss their situation, they’re disturbed, to say the least, by assassins who’ve come to kill Pheem. It doesn’t look like they’re going to get out of this alive, but they’re saved by Thanet’s own men! Looks like since Pheem is the new cash cow, nobody is going to kill him while Thanet’s around. Also, Jet is so concerned with the well-being of his bodyguard. Are they, you know…~lovers~?
With that taken care of, Than is taking care of Pheem over at Pheem’s place, putting some disinfectant on the scratch Pheem got when they were being shot at by Jet’s bodyguards. Pheem tries to get Than to forgive him by being flirty, but Than isn’t having any of it. He wants this to be a strictly business relationship, but Pheem still has one ace up his sleeve. He reveals to Than that he was that kid he rescued all those years ago when he was “Than”derman, and Pheem lays on the emotional blackmail really thick, saying he’s afraid Than would hate this vengeful thing that he’s become, and telling Than that it’s time to keep his promise to be by side. It looks like it works, too, because Than finally hugs him back.
Pheem may have sorted that thing out, but there’s still more trouble on the horizon, as Jet pays a visit to his seemingly comatose mother and tells her that he’s not going to let Pheem take everything. He shows Thanet evidence of Jason taking over another company via less than scrupulous methods, and with a relative from his mother’s side willing to invest money into Thanavej, Thanet once again postpones the launch of the wellness center project.
Now, I’m no investor or venture capitalist or businessman or whatever, but this many delays on what’s supposed to be a flagship project? Girl. I would be taking all my money, because all of these delays can’t be good. But Thanet sides with Jet again, and now the search for Wut has become even more urgent.
Thanks to some well-placed deception, the gang are able to find Wut’s location, but no thanks to a skittish Wut, he ends up getting hit by a car because of his own stupidity.
