Ron Does Stuff

At the end of the previous episode, Suo Wei and Xiao Shuai have come up with a new reason for breaking up Chi Cheng and Yue Yue to break up, which even I found too convoluted to discuss any further. Maybe this episode will give us some clarity!

We start the episode with Chi Cheng and Suo Wei just coming home from a date, with Suo Wei telling Chi Cheng that he didn’t have to drive him home. There’s a hint of that trope where the romantic interest looks at the lead and says “I’m looking at something beautiful”, but that’s nipped in the bud by Yue Yue’s call.

This time around, Suo Wei doesn’t try to keep Chi Cheng away from Yue Yue, but shoos him away to go to her since Chi Cheng’s snakes are still being held hostage by his dad. This, despite Chi Cheng even offering to take a shower with Suo Wei. I would say yes, just saying! Chi Cheng does leave him with a literal box of cigarettes because he said it was good that one time. Horny and attentive? He’s the perfect man!

Meanwhile, Chi Cheng is taking Yue Yue to meet his older sister, and just from the looks of it, older sister doesn’t take any shit. It doesn’t look like she’s won over by Yue Yue’s gifts, and she realizes it too. There’s also the new ~mystery texter~ that’s sending her texts telling her that she’ll never be enough for Chi Cheng’s family.

There’s also the fact that Chi Cheng left her alone with the family, with his obviously hostile sister. Like, come on now. The signs are all there! Open your eyes, girl!

If Chi Cheng was headed to Suo Wei, he’s running a little late, because Cheng Yu’s already beat him there and he’s asking Suo Wei if he’s disappointed because it’s not Chi Cheng or because it’s not Yue Yue. Cheng Yu’s trying to blackmail Suo Wei, and what he wants is for Suo Wei to match him with Xiao Shuai. Suo Wei doesn’t want to, but when Xiao Shuai learns that Cheng Yu already knows, he decides to play along with Cheng Yu.

Cheng Yu takes Xiao Shuai to a massage parlor, and any homosexual knows what happens when homosexuals are in a massage parlor. Thanks to a little bit of intimidation, Cheng Yu has Xiao Shuai massaging him, and whatever Xiao Shuai thinks of him, he can’t deny that he’s good-looking.

Meanwhile, Yue Yue is trying to get into Chi Cheng’s pants, after his mom made her stay at his place. Have they never had sex before? Chi Cheng rebuffs here, and then we see that Chi Cheng’s mom has also been getting texts, but hers are telling her that her son is a filthy homo. Are we going to go through with the homosexuality is bad thing again? For all the negatives of Thai BLs, one thing I do appreciate is that being gay or queer or part of the LGBTQIA+ community is always treated like a fact of life. The drama isn’t coming from there. I do find it ~hilarious~ that Chi Cheng’s mom is essentially telling Yue Yue to baby trap him because she wants her son to be straight.

Back at Xiao Shuai’s clinic, it looks like Suo Wei’s snake business is booming, and Xiao Shuai tells Suo Wei he should give something back to Chi Cheng since he’s helped him out a lot. Xiao Shuai, baby, I don’t think Suo Wei is quite ready to give what it is that Chi Cheng wants.

Chi Cheng arrives later that night, and now he’s the one trying to get into someone else’s pants. He asks Suo Wei why he’s so seductive and it just might be my low self-esteem speaking, but if someone told me I was seductive wearing home clothes my legs would be spread.

Suo Wei tries to distract Chi Cheng by telling him that he got him a gift, and it’s not an ash tray like he said to Xiao Shuai but a class A imitation designer belt from Greenhills that we later find out isn’t actually an imitation but the real thing. Of course, Chi Cheng doesn’t intend to use it the way it was intended to be used, which I bet Suo Wei did not expect. Chi Cheng then asks Suo Wei to put the belt on him and this scene? Hot! And then he uses that belt to restrain Suo Wei? The scene fades to black and I thought they had sex but apparently nothing happened! My goodness!

Chi Cheng does tell Suo Wei that he’s going on a three to four-day business trip and that he might take Yue Yue with him, and as much as Suo Wei won’t open up his hole for Chi Cheng, he sure does act jealous. Then Chi Cheng tells him that anybody else can get agree at him except Suo Wei and I’m like…hello? I would have my legs spread already.

Then we find out that it was Suo Wei who sent Chi Cheng’s mom that text! I…do not understand what the point of that was? Isn’t that sabotaging your own plans? Now she’s pushing Yue Yue even further onto Chi Cheng! And we also find out that it’s also Suo Wei sending those messages to Yue Yue! So, he wants her to spend more time with Chi Cheng’s literal snake and not his metaphorical one, so that Yue Yue offends him. I’m starting to recall this from the previous episode but this plan is seriously…something.

We get to see the business trip and as Suo Wei predicted, Chi Cheng’s literal snake is an effective cockblock. But I gotta fault Yue Yue here because if you truly were serious about being a golddigger, I’d incorporate that snake into the seduction. It’s not often a young, handsome, rich guy is in bed with you! Woman up! But it does look like Suo Wei’s plan is working because Yue Yue is already planning on how to get rid of the snake.

While Yue Yue’s plotting, Suo Wei is shopping for snakes, although if I’m understanding this correctly, I think he’s discovering where Chi Cheng’s snakes are. This particular pet store he’s at looks like it has one of Chi Cheng’s snakes, and after some back and forth, the store owner confirms it for him. He then tells Xiao Shuai about it and when he explains his plan to Xiao Shuai I was a little confused, but it turns out that just like Xiao Shuai, I’ve just correctly understood that Suo Wei wants Chi Cheng to like him, and he thinks he can do that by saving Chi Cheng’s snakes on his own.
