Let’s get down to business because I’m way behind!
Jimin got to live out his dream of haggling with a vendor in the previous episode, while Jungkook got his sorta wish of the staff giving them a hard game so that they get some food taken away from them. What’s up next for them in this final episode?
The guys heads to An Bang Beach with full stomachs, and while they’re initially enamored, the tropical sun on their all-black attire isn’t exactly the best combination. They’re going to go parasailing, and while they’re doing that, they need to protect an item throughout. If the item gets torn or bent out of shape, they have to do one hour of digital minimalism, and if the previous episode has shown us anything, Jimin isn’t a fan of digital minimalism.
Jimin and Jungkook ready themselves for the parasailing, but it unfortunately starts before the cameramen are on board the boat so they can get footage. We get what footage Jungkook and Jimin shoot from whatever cameras are strapped onto their bodies, but I did find the audio of them shouting in sync adorable. They need to go on it a second time so they can get footage of their faces, but to be honest I thought what they already got was fun enough. But okay, maybe I’m wrong, since it was so cute seeing the two of them avoid getting dunked into the water on their second time parasailing.
Unfortunately — or fortunately — the two of them fail the mission and have to spend an additional hour without using their phones. I’m also unclear on the story they told, but from what I understand they were slapping each other’s butts in the shower during enlistment? Somebody clarify this for me.
We also get a call from Jin! Looks like this is where they arranged the separate appearances of Jungkook and Jimin during the Run Seokjin encore concerts. After that call, the guys quiz each other over neologisms, which in turn prompts the staff to actually conduct a neologism quiz where each wrong answer adds another 30 minutes of digital minimalism to their total. And Jungkook mops the floor with Jimin so now Jimin has an additional four and a half hours of digital minimalism. He is not happy, but it’s hilarious to watch him lose. The staff take pity on him and ask him another one, and he only gets it right after some playful ribbing from Jungkook. But now he just has to do three and a half hours of minimalism.
After cleaning up at their lodgings, the guys then head off to their final dinner in Vietnam. Of course, there’s going to be a game before they eat, but this time around they get to take out a food for each game won. They end up taking out a crabmeat porridge first, before changing the rules to the usual taking one out if they don’t get the answer right, and end up losing two Vietnamese shellfish dishes before they get to eat. We also see Jungkook drawing that illustration that Jimin had on his Instagram before he archived this older posts.
Once dinner is done, the boys are supposed to go to Hoi An, but there’s a lot of people and the staff want to know if they’re still good to go despite the crowd. The guys decide to go anyways, since they have the time, and since I didn’t hear about their Vietnam visit on Twitter, maybe the Vietnamese ARMY left them alone.
They arrive in Hoi An, and to avoid getting noticed, they wear…absolutely noticeable hats. I feel like it would have been better to not wear those hats because I feel like people will doubt their own eyes and think that those Korean can’t possibly be members of BTS. And it’s either they edited it out, or the two of them really managed to enjoy this night in Hoi An without getting too much attention. They get to make their wishes for BTS to make it big without getting any attention.
On their way back to their accommodations to get a massage, the two of them get into another neologisms quiz battle and the staff immediately latches on, this time around giving the guys a chance to deduct from their time for each correct response. Jimin manages to shave down his time to two and a half hours, while Jungkook whittles down his digital minimalism time to two hours. Not bad!
Oh, looks like I’m wrong, because the massage parlor is in the city and not at their accommodations. And I gotta say, they look great in those massage robes. Jungkook, especially. And their butts were definitely sticking out if I do say so myself. And it turns out they also got the rest of the staff massages as well! Good for them! Also, I want to get a massage now.
Once they’re back at the accommodations, their digital minimalism time starts, as well as their wake-up mission for the next day. They need to hide items given to them, and I think they should be thankful that Jin isn’t with them because that guy would know where to hide it where no one else can find it.
Jungkook is the one that gets to pick an item first and it’s…salmon roe! And they had three (?) pieces of it for Jungkook to hide. He hides it in a packet of cookies, and then uses the cookie he displaced as a decoy item. Meanwhile, Jimin has to hide a couple of blueberries, and while they don’t show it onscreen, I think he hid it in the director’s pockets, which is devious. But the production thinks about this too, so they have the guys hide a second item that they hope the guys will find. Jungkook gets a mangosteen, while Jimin gets a huge durian. Even if he could hide it, how’s he going to mask the smell? In the end, Jimin hides the durian in plain sight right where a fire extinguisher should be.
Missing items right under their nose becomes the recurring theme, as the two of them miss both the items hidden right under their nose. Jimin, in particular, was thisclose to finding the salmon roe Jungkook had to hide, but stopped right before he could find it. In fact, the two of them take so long to find it that the staff has to intervene and give them hints. Jimin eventually finds the salmon roe, but then it takes them too long to find the rest so the staff has to sit them down to give them even more hints. Oh, boys.
Eventually, it’s Jimin who finds Jungkook’s mangosteen firsts and can sleep until up to 10 in the morning. Jungkook has to be up by 8 to eat breakfast. And despite all of that…Jimin still has almost a hour left of digital minimalism left. So, back to yutnori they go until it’s time to fall asleep.
Jungkook wakes up for breakfast the next day but doesn’t have the appetite for it, so his first meal is still the lunch of Vietnamese food he shares with Jimin. And he certainly has an appetite by then!
Things are winding down now, and we get to hear the guys’ thoughts on this second season. Jungkook definitely wants to go back to Zernatt, which I’m pretty sure Swiss ARMY will be happy to hear. The two of them also enjoyed Hoi An, which Vietnamese ARMY will be happy to hear. The trip also helped them acclimatize to the cameras after their discharge, which is a good thing, I believe, since 2026 is going to be a busy, camera-filled year for them. And that’s it for this season of Are You Sure?!
If any of you guys like what I do, feel free to leave me a tip!
