Taeheon finally returns in the previous episode, and it looks like Jobu is once again setting himself up for heartbreak. Is this going to be another episode where I end up evil duck laughing at Jobu? Let’s see!
Right from the start of the episode, Jobu is the star of the show. He’s the new coffee truck shift lead, and he gets to pick who he works with. I WONDER WHO THAT PERSON’S GOING TO BE. Of course, he picks Taeheon.
Unfortunately, the universe has it out for him, as not only do they not get any customers at the beginning of the shift because of the weather, he and Taeheon aren’t talking either. They end the shift with just ¥2,200, which might be the lowest it’s ever been? It’s too early in the morning where I am to check.
The two of them aren’t talking either after the shift, and I am already cackling.
When they finally start talking, Jobu is too awkward to make any progress in his Get Taeheon campaign, and my goodness, this is awkward. Taeheon’s openly yawning.
Opening credits time!
The next day, Izaya is still stewing about William’s uncertainty about their future together. I’m with William and the panel here. Can’t Izaya enjoy the fact that they’re together right now? If you look too far ahead, the one you’re with right now might not feel that they’re being prioritized. The two of them go to the gym, and to both their credit, talk about the situation like they’re adults. William says that since Izayaki hasn’t taken his monster cock yet the two of them haven’t been intimate yet, there’s still that question of whether they’re compatible there. Yes, they’re together now, but it’s not that different from when they weren’t together.
Taeheon and Jobu are back in the house and it is still awkward. I can’t even laugh at it now, that’s how awkward it is. I’m kinda feeling sorry for Jobu. He even says in the confessional that it’s the least fun he’s had in the Green Room. Ouch. In his confessional, Taeheon says Jobu didn’t even ask any memorable questions. OUCH.
Later at dinner, after enjoying Kazuyuki’s miso soup, Bomi asks the guys what they think love is, and I roll my eyes and stop watching for a bit. I need to fortify myself for discussions like this. I don’t mind it when it’s organic, but this feels so much like a story editor prodded him to ask it, like Kelly Mantle being asked to talk to Vivacious.
THANKFULLY, Huwei ends the discussion with a pretty definitive answer.
The next day, it’s Bomi who’s named as the shift lead, and of course, it’s Huwei who gets chosen. I think for certain people, it’s already a given who they’re going to be picking when it comes to shifts. They are so cute AND THEY EARN ¥10,050, which I think is the most amount of money the coffee truck has made so far?
Back at the Green Room, William, Izaya, and Jobu are in the sauna, and Jobu says he’s been losing weight since he got here, because Izaya points out that Jobu’s abs are starting to show. William is “fat”, but really, that’s “fat” in the muscle gay sense. He’s not fat at all. After talking about their bodies, Jobu gets asked about his shift with Taeheon, which he says was the worst day he’s had. He doesn’t think he’ll pick him for another shift again, but would go if Taeheon was the one doing the asking.
Back to Bomi and Huwei, the two of them decide to go on the slopes after all, and once again, they are so cute. Even Bomi falling flat on his face while on his skis is so cute. The two have a little talk about what they still want from the house as the end of their time there gets closer and closer, but neither one of them settles on anything concrete yet.
The next day, Izaya tells the group that he and William want to know what it’s like ~after the Green Room~, so he asks for their permission for the two of them to go out and stay somewhere else overnight. OH IZAYA IS GOING TO GET HIS BUSSY WRECKED. Of course, none of the guys stop them, although Jobu makes a joke about maybe joining in, but in the end, William and Izaya leave to fuck. The guys are then told that the lead for this shift will be chosen on a volunteer basis, and Kazuyuki volunteers. He picks Jobu to go out with, so at least Jobu still gets out of the house.
During their shift, we find out that Kazuyuki had a dog during his whole relationship, which passed away at the end of that relationship. Kazuyuki’s been emotional about his previous relationship for most of the show, so it wasn’t really a surprise seeing him be emotional because this is yet another reminder of that. Also, it’s a dog who passed. It always hurts more. By the end of the shift, the two of them earn ¥5,350.
Back at the Green Room, there’s trouble brewing, and for once it’s not because of spurned advances. Tomoaki isn’t gelling with the group, and the panel and the other guys are worried about him. He doesn’t join in with the rest of the group, and even retreats back into his bedroom.
Meanwhile, Jobu and Kazuyuki are having their post-shift discussion, and Kazuyuki says that his relationship ended because it wasn’t exciting anymore. However, his time at the Green Room made him realize that an ~uneventful life~ is probably the best way for a relationship to be. And as someone who is in the ~twilight stage~ of his life, I agree! Just being comfortable with the one you love? That’s the best thing. I am not looking for an uncomfortable life.
In the Green Room, Tomoaki talks with Ryuki and Taeheon, sharing that while he doesn’t like being the Debbie Downer, it’s just how he’s been living his life so far. He’s trying to change, but of course, it’s not going to happen overnight. Ryuki shares that he knows how he feels since the dynamics were already in place when he arrived at the house as well, while Taeheon offers himself as a sympathetic ear Tomoako can talk to. I don’t know how accepted psychiatry is in Japan, but I think Tomoaki should do that as well.
Elsewhere in the house, Bomi and Huwei have another talk. Huwei’s leaving for a bit for his university entrance ceremony, and before he leaves, he tells Bomi that he likes him. Other than thinking this conversation was so cute, it also totally cemented Bomi in my head as a bossy bottom and Huwei as the submissive top. That’s just my headcanon, okay?
We then find out what William and Izaya are doing, and they’re being so domestic, doing grocery shopping. The place where they’ll be fucking staying looks nice as well. The view is spectacular. All the places they’ve been to so far have just given me house envy. And then they actually have a serious talk about their future away from the Green Room, with joint accounts even being talked about. Then they start talking about marriage and then they start touching each other’s face and oh my goodness they’re going to fuck. THEN THEY SHOW THEM IN BED AND I’M SCREAMING! GOOD FOR THESE HOMOSEXUALS!
If any of you guys like what I do, feel free to leave me a tip!
