Ron Watches Dare You to Death Episode 4

Doing my best to catch up on this show, especially since the latest episode is going to be this Friday!

At the end of the last episode, Jade and Kamin share a kiss after Jade tended to Kamin’s wounds. I don’t think they had sex, but this isn’t a teen show and the other show Dunk and Joong have been on is The Heart Killers and two characters had sex there during the first episode.

We start this episode with Jade and Kamin continuing their makeout session but Kamin stopping it once Jade’s hands start moving below his belt. Kamin retreats to his own room, but he’s definitely still thinking about what happened. And so is Jade, who’s trying to justify what happened by saying out loud that coworkers accidentally kiss each other all the time. Sure!

After the opening credits, we get a shower scene from Joong. Of course, he has to get food from the refrigerator clad in just a towel, and of course, Dunk has to walk in on him doing just that. And of course, we need those elephant noises when the camera pans down to Joong’s crotch. Good morning indeed!

Jay, despite being a little shit to Jade early in the morning, does manage to squeeze out information from Kamin that is very important to Jade’s agenda. Kamin’s single and so is Jade. Or single as far as Jay knows because he brings up Yu. Who is Yu?

I don’t know if Jade is bringing Jay to the police station because of what he said about Yu, or because he truly is worried about Jay’s safety, but that is what happens. At the police station, Jade asks Kamin if he’s going to keep acting like they didn’t make out the night before, and it looks like that’s the way it’s going to be.

At the university, Chereen is trying to get in touch with Bell because she didn’t show up for the presentation, and of course doesn’t get a response because we just saw her get killed with acid in the previous episode. Chereen calls up Jay next to ask about Bell, which then prompts Jay to call up Kamin. They head to Bell’s condo and I didn’t know that they had police stationed there as well? I thought it was only Tonkla that got the security detail. So how did the killer get in?

As the police check the condo, it looks like the killer didn’t leave any forensic evidence behind. But these two Thai homos are more concerned with flirting with each other that even a member of the forensic team is fujoing out. Human resources needs to step in!

With their flirting out of the way, they question Jay once more — after Jade consoles him about the death of Bell. They find out that Cherreen was the only one who had a key to Bell’s place, which would make her a suspect, duh. The show hasn’t shown us where she was when Bell’s murder was happening. But then again, they wouldn’t be so obvious about this, right? This is going to be a red herring.

Both Jay and Cherreen get interrogated and we find out that all the things the killer was accusing her off — throwing acid on a girl — was actually true. I mean, Jay isn’t looking good here at all. He really has no right to be a little shit when it comes to Jade questioning him and asking him to do things to ensure his safety because the friend group he’s covering for is a lot. To say the least.

Jade and Kamin also get a break on the case. Despite the killer disabling the CCTV like they did at the club, Jade spots a dash cam on a car and its footage managed to capture part of the killer. They still don’t have a face, but now they know that the person is wearing glasses. But we as an audience know that the killer’s wearing some sort of LED mask or something, so are they on the wrong track here or is this just a bad translation?

Of course, now that there a little progress on the case, these walking violations of workplace rules start flirting with each other again. Jade threatens Kamin with a good time by telling him that he’s good with his mouth, and then almost kisses him before pulling away. And judging from the smile on Kamin’s face, he likey.

The flirting doesn’t stop there, because there is still flirting happening over Bell’s dead body at the morgue, but this time it’s the forensic pathologist flirting with Kamin. He even tries to get Kamin’s number and it’s only Jade swooping in that stops it from happening.

Back at home, Jade and Kamin are having a little argument about their kiss, while elsewhere in Bangkok — I think this is set in Bangkok — it looks like the killer has now set its sights on Cherreen. But he decides to spare her, I guess, because she makes it to Bell’s merit ceremony, along with Tonkla. We then find out that both bell and Tonkla got the Dare card, and it was Tonkla that picked Bell’s name and ultimately signed her death warrant. Tonkla’s using it as an in to Cherreen, because he could have just as easily picked Cherreen as the killer’s next target.

Of course, neither of these two kids thought of the CCTV. Jade and Kamin see the whole exchange and accost Tonkla at the garage where he works, along with the rest of the team working on the case. They find an encrypted flash drive and the Dare card with Bell’s name encircled, and Kamin also notices something about one of the cars int he garage, but we as an audience don’t know what it is just yet.

Back at the police headquarters, there are now three Thai homosexuals flirting and bickering rather than working on this case. This is why these kids keep dying! After Jade scarfs down two ugly macarons that were meant for Kamin, they find out from the doctor flirting with Kamin that the ketamine used on Tar and that was found all over Bells’ place — I thought the killer didn’t leave forensic evidence behind? — was previously used in an earlier set of murders. Interesting.

After the conversation with the doctor, Jade and Kamin split up because Jade talked himself into a corner and now has to check out a location where drug deliveries happen, while Kamin stays behind to interrogate Tonkla. Kamin does tell Jade to be careful out there because he’s worried, and I know that Jade got hard from that.

However, it doesn’t look like Jade’s going to be able to work on that hard-on anytime soon as he gets into an accident while chasing down a lead. Kamin, on the other had, gets a threatening phone call from who I assume is the same man that caused Jade to get into an accident, Seon Jae.
