Yes, I know, it’s a lot late, but like I said in my RuPaul’s Drag Race post, I watched Dune Part Two over the weekend so my attention was on that and then the work week started so I couldn’t find time to squeeze in a viewing.

But we’re here now! Let’s get to watching!

The previous episode saw Jonbers Blonde being sent home and as the queens make their way back to the Werk Room and Scarlet Envy is reveling in being the drama while Jonbers Blonde’s mirror message is very Bitter Betty. Which I guess is warranted because, as Choriza May points out, Jonbers was the one among the UK girls who got the farthest in their original season.

But it isn’t just Scarlet being the drama as Tia reveals that she would have sent Jonbers home as well, saying in the confessionals that now that a UK queen has been sent home, the heat may be off their alliance. Tricky, tricky, tricky, this is why Thorgy don’t like you I’M JOKING.

The next day, the queens are told by Ru that the Maxi Challenge is going to be Snatch Game, the Family Edition and I am already cringing because I will admit that these themed Snatch Game versions are hit or miss for me. And it was on Snatch Game that Pangina sent home so maybe they’re going to send Marina home on this episode to keep up the tradition.

And I feel like I am not overreacting when I worry for Marina in this episode because while she did well during the Drag Race Philippines Snatch Game, she was performing to a Filipino audience and we can easily get the references. Seeing as how the judges didn’t get Dugong, will Marina still be as funny with whatever character she choses?

The Snatch Game format this time around is basically Family Feud and since Scarlet Envy was the winner in the previous epside, she gets to choose her family — because we as gay people get to choose our family.

Scarlet chooses Hannah Conda, Choriza May, and Tia Kofi, which leaves La Grande Dame, Keta Minaj, Gothy Kendoll, and Marina as the opposing family. I really don’t know why Scarlet picked the way she did but we’ll see how it turns out for her as the episode progresses!

The queens break off into groups and Choriza May and Tia Kofi and playing Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn respectively and oh my goodness two wives of Henry VIII? This will either be brilliant or a trainwreck. Tia Kofi even makes that same observation herself!

Meanwhile, Ru is telling La Grande Dame to not make her French character too French with the accents because she may not be understandable to the judges and now the fear is there that Marina is going to be in the bottom because her humor is only understandable to Filipino audiences.

Ru seems to really like Hannah and Choriza’s choices, but is not as thrilled with Gothy. She is definitely going to be a bottom two queen because Ru has got that same face when Pearl asked her if she had something on her face.

The Snatch Game Family Edition starts and swear to Gandalf Marina is the only one that was slightly funny among her team when they were being introduced. My heart can’t take this oh god. On Scarlet’s team, it’s only Choriza that flounders with the intro and you can kinda see the lay of the Snatch Game land now.

OH GOD THIS SNATCH GAME LORD TAKE ME NOW. OH GOD MAYBE I SHOULDN’T HAVE WATCHED THIS OR MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED TAKE OUT BEFORE WATCHING MY STOMACH HURTS AND NOT FROM LAUGHING.

There’s a discussion about their relationships as they prepare for the runway but I honestly could not follow it very well because I AM SO ANXIOUS FOR MARINA.

Among the runway looks, I really liked La Grande Dame’s, Scarlet’s, Hannah’s, and Marina’s. Hopefully Marina’s outfit is enough to save her, the same way Nymphia’s saved her on the main Drag Race. AND OMG IT DOES SAVE HER OKAY I CAN BREATHE NOW.

Tia Kofi and Hannah Conda are the top queens this week and would you look at that two top placements for Tia already! Meanwhile, Keta and Gothy both get their second bottom two placements. And if Tia wins this lip sync I feel like it’s Keta going home BECAUSE if she sends Gothy home it’s going to destroy her alliance with her fellow UK queens.

AND I WAS RIGHT.
