Ron Watches Are You Sure? Episode 7

I know, I know, this should have come out literally last year. But circumstance around that time really weren’t conducive to me watching this. Those who know know how messy this month was and everything that was happening at the time kinda put me off of Korean content for a while. But it’s BTS year so let’s get back into this!

The previous episode was basically Jimin and Jungkook going on a restaurant tour of Sapporo with a whiskey distillery trip on the side. For this penultimate episode, it looks like they’re going snowboarding!

On their way to the…snowboarding place? Jungkook looks at snowboarding videos and I don’t know if I’m understanding it correctly but did he say that he learned how to turn just from watching these videos? Anyways, both he and Jimin only have minimum snowboarding experience.

Jimin also insists that the one time he snowboarded was with Jungkook and as he’s gearing up to be offended because Jungkook didn’t remember it, it turns out that he went with Jungkook’s friends and not Jungkook himself. Kinda like Spice thinking she would beat Malaysia Babydoll Foxx in a lip sync but turns out she doesn’t know the words.

Actually the comparison doesn’t make a damn bit of sense but now you’ve seen the Malaysia Babydoll Foxx versus Spice lip sync so I think it’s still a win.

The guys stop at another 7-11 before reaching their destination and once again as a pewr I am amazed at how much stuff you can buy at a Japanese 7-11? Anyways, Jungkook ends up buying more of that tuna mayo gimbap that they had in the previous episode.

The boys arrive at the hotel and it looks nice. But then again a lot of things look nice to me as a pewr. But it really does look fancy with a whole Jacuzzi and sauna and everything! I’ve only ever been in a room like that once and it was because of a clerical error or something!

And then we get all those shirtless shots that have proliferated on Twitter and god knows where else. Like having that camera at that angle while Jungkook took off his hoodie is wild. Anyways, that whole bang cutting scene reminded me of when Jin did it.

Jungkook finishes chopping his bangs off and he definitely looks like trainee Jungkook. Except with more muscles and a tattoo sleeve. And with an appetite that will eat out of house and home because good golly he’s always munching on something.

After a card game that I totally do not understand the rules of, the guys head on off to the bathroom to wash up and we get both of them shirtless in the freaking tub? Where are the BT21 stickers???? Where are the modesty graphics???

Because of the hot water and because they’re in a ski…place? I don’t how to call it! But because of the difference of temperature the bathroom fogs up and it literally looks like all those scenes in anime where the characters are in a sauna? This amount of shirtlessness is so unexpected even though they’ve been building up to it ever since they started releasing solo stuff?

And then they’re hugging shirtless? What is this my innocent Victorian eyes cannot stand to look at all this exposed skin! And then Jungkook is splashing cold water onto his tits? My god. And then they’re both moaning in the cold water tub don’t they know I am mentally unstable?

Once the guys get out of the hot and cold baths they start flexing in front of the camera and…well I’ll let Trixie say it.

They’re in the sauna and my gawd. Imagine meeting Jungkook and Jimin in a sauna I’m sure someone has written that fanfic before. And then they’re in these cutesy pyjamas after all that shirtless and I’m going crazy from the whiplash?

They head down for dinner and the spread? Looks so delicious? I’m hungry? And just like every mukbang they’ve had on this series the two of them always eat so deliciously. They make me want to go out for shabu shabu and it’s the middle of the night here right now.

In the midst of all that eating Jimin actually fails to notice the tuna sashimi until later which of course gives me the perfect opportunity to pimp Super Tuna.

After dinner the guys play a round of Texas Hold ‘Em which I know is poker, with the best being physical activities. Jimin manages to negotiate the push-ups down to find rather than the seven that Jungkook wanted. Which is good because he loses the first round. And then the second round. And then the third round. And then all the succeeding rounds. Jimin, honey, do not play poker with actual money because I feel like you will lose your shirt.

Jimin eventually wins the later rounds but the camera pans outside and you just hear Jungkook making heaving sounds and do you people know you just made this look ~suggestive~ with that pan out?

The guys eventually stop playing poker and get ready for bed and aren’t they the perfect picture of domesticity as they brush their teeth together? And then Jungkook saying good night to all the cameras? I wanna tuck you in bed and read you a bedtime story.

After a simple breakfast, the guys pack up and we get shirtless Jungkook again because apparently this is going to be a common occurrence now. After they’re done they head on off to the ski slopes. They see Mount Yotei from the car and I am going out of mind at the cutesy background music the show has playing while Jungkook and Jimin talk about feeling cosmic horror whenever they behold something majestic like a mountain.

Of course, since they are who they are and since this show has become mostly the mukbang show, the two of them get to a rest stop before getting to the slopes and order some bread with a red bean filling as well as croquttes, which they eat in the car. Again, they eat so deliciously that you can’t help but be hungry as well.

They finally arrive at the resort, do all the necessary preparations to go snowboarding, but what really floored me was the fact that they rented the whole resort before its opening. Rich rich.

Jungkook being Jungkook, he just starts snowboarding once they arrive at the slope, while Jimin is struggling cutely at the top. It’s not that Jungkook isn’t falling, but he at least makes some progress down the slope, which you can’t say the same for Jimin. He literally struggles all the way down in that Jimin way that just makes everything look so charming and endearing.

On their second try down the slope Jimin does it without a helmet and since I’m a worrywart and also because an accident on a slope is exactly how Gaspard Ulliel passed away, I kinda want him to keep the helmet on? But then again it’s just them and their crew there so I think there’s a very low chance of collision. He does keep falling flat on his face though! I wish I knew how to take screenshots on Disney+ because there’s a spectacular shot of a tired Jimin just laying down on the snow.

Jungkook, because he is a marvelous being full of potential, thinks they should switch to skis instead of snowboards and of course the Golden Maknae immediately take to it. He’s speeding down the slope and even the crew is amazed. Also did somebody say Golden?
