Ron Watches RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 11 Episode 4

I really need to get my life in order because I am just swamped. So, here I am again, catching up!

At the end of the last episode, we saw Dawn and Akeria make it into the merge. Now, we’re going to met the queens of the new bracket.

First to enter is Crystal Methyd, who really looks like she’s learned to edit her looks, while also still keeping it maximalist. I don’t know if that makes sense, but I’m not a fashion person, so you get what you get! She’s followed by Salina Es Titties, who has trimmed down and…well, I guess compared to her previous looks, this is edited and refined.

After Crystal and Salina, we get the legendary Vivacious, who obviously brings Ornacia with her. Ornacia is her masterpiece!

And then we get April Carrión, who is serving body. Damnnnnnnnnn that body. It’s hard to comment about anything else other than that slamming body. That body! She’s followed by Aura Mayari, who, while rightly scolded for her Bretman Rock Snatch Game, did not deserve the reaction she got from the audience during her original season. I hope this run is better on her psyche compared to her original season.

The final queen to enter is Silky Nutmeg Ganache, and really, what else is there to say about her. She’s a big personality. Let’s see how she’s going to fare in this fourth outing. Because I’m counting Drag Race Canada versus the World, even if the show isn’t.

Ru then tells them about this week’s Maxi Challenge: a performance challenge, where they’ll be performing as duos. I wonder how they’re going to group themseles then, because when they get to the Werk Room, it doesn’t look like there are obvious duos, other than Salina and Crystal. But as we spend more time, it does look like people are starting to gravitate towards each other.

But turns out that’s really not going to matter, because how they pair up is through whoever picks the same songs. The duos end up being Aura and Crystal, Silky and Vivacious, and April and Salina. I don’t know why Silky was ticked off by April and Salina both wanting to work with her, but then again, I’m not in the room where it was happening, so maybe both April and Salina were getting irritating.

Neither of the pairings seem irritated with each other, though. Vivacious and Silky are definitely gelling, with Vivacious contributing a lot of lyrics. Aura and Crystal, despite the differences in aesthetic, also seem to be getting along. Salina and April, maybe not so much, but it does look like they’re ignoring the dysfunction for the moment to concentrate on the challenge.

Unfortunately, the recording session definitely exposes the cracks in the Salina-April pairing, since April cannot sing at all. At all. I still don’t get why Silky things April was fighting her, when from what was shown, it was intra-Latina fighting, but again, I was not in the room where it was happening. Aura and Crystal obviously do better than Salina and April, while Silky and Vivacious do okay. It’s mostly Silky carrying the theme, but I hope Vivacious gets her moment eventually.

The next day in the Werk Room, Aura and Crystal are feeling good about their chances. If there’s one thing that they’re dysfunctional about, it’s the point system in case they don’t make it to the top. But if they both end up in the top, it’s something that they can think about some other time. And then they get to a discussion about whether Silky is giving pekpek or not, and just like Aura, my question is, where did Salina learn that word?

Silky and Vivacious are up first and…well, it was good for their age? I’m sorry, it really felt like it was two senior citizens performing. The song sounded dated as well! Meanwhile, despite the dysfunction during the recording, Salina and April really delivers on that “The Boy Is Mine” vibe.

Finally, we get Aura and Crystal’s performance, and it really does bring musical theatre! I enjoyed it, and everybody else probably knows this already since they’ve already watched this episode, but I haven’t, so if it sounds stupid that I think that Aura and Crystal will be this week’s top queens, just don’t laugh at me.

We then get to the butter-themed runway, with Vivacious first on the runway, and boy does she deliver. I loved her outfit! Silky also delivers on the runway, as do April and Salina. Aura’s terno is a thumbs up for me as well, and Crystal’s interpretation is an A+ for me. I liked all the outfits this time around!

During the judges critiques, I think everyone also got generally good critiques? Sure they were a little negative with Silky and Vivacious, but I felt those were still mild compared to the first bracket. And once the queens return after deliberation, it’s no surprise that Crystal and Aura are the top two.

Crystal and Aura battle it out in the lip sync, and I thought it was an even fight until Crystal tore off her titty. At that point, Crystal surged ahead.
