I think this is the most recent episode? Have I finally caught up? Yay me!

I really thought Fluffy was a production favorite, but she got sent home in the previous episode, so I’m guessing there’s still a story to be squeezed out of La Harpie. Of course, none of the remaining members of Lanarffy are happy about her departure, although La Harpie does take a jab at Fluffy’s wig.

With just five of them left and us not knowing whether it’s going to be a top four, the queens are gearing up to make it into the finals. Lana is especially adamant that she’ll start the next week rested and fired up, but airing a declaration like that in the episode could also mean this is the one where you’re going to say “Adieu!”

The next day, the queens do an accounting of who’s won challenges, and La Harpie stands out as the one who’s won none of them. Which is really why I thought she would be the next one to go home and not Fluffy. The show could give her a win this episode and send someone with two wins home, just to gag the audience. We then find out that Lana gets the Golden Baguette, which basically ensures her entry to the top four, since she can just save herself if she does get a bottom placement.

Nicky then walks into the Werk Room and brings season one’s Kam Hugh with her as an example of a queen who’s made a career out of her time on Drag Race France, even if she didn’t win the crown. She’s judging this episode’s mini challenge alongside Nicky. What’s the challenge? The queens pick a mystery box and have to sell whatever’s inside to the audience. It’s funny, but just like most of Drag Race France‘s mini challenges, it’s inconsequential, since all Lana gets are the other “products” as her prize.

And the show quickly tells me to fuck off, because Lana’s win does have consequences! This is the makeover episode, and since Lana won the mini challenge, she gets to form the pairs. And whether she intended to or not, it looks like she’s handicapped Daisy a bit, as the person she’s paired with her does not want to shave anything. It’s not explicitly said, but I think the person is a trans man because they said they don’t want to lose the little bit of masculinity they have. Maybe La Harpie takes Daisy’s place in the coming episodes. Daisy’s partner does relent eventually, but it took a lot to get there. And it’s taking a lot of time to get it done!

While all that’s happening, the rest of the queen’s partners share their stories of how they got to Le Refuge, a non-profit that helps house LGBTQIA+ youth. And the conversations here feel organic! More of this! Or maybe, a smoother transition like this, because the previous episode really felt predictable, to me at least.

We finally get to see the transformations, and I gotta say, they all looked great to me! Okay, maybe not so much with Daisy, but it’s not like Daisy’s looks were horrible. Just didn’t feel at par with the other queens. Could have been better! And then the show makes me feel bad about thinking that because the judges ping her for not managing her time better, and Daisy cries on stage. I’m sorry, okay!

From the critiques, it looks like La Harpie might just get her first win, with Sublyme and Daisy lip syncing. Lana’s going to save herself with the Golden Baguette. I’d say goodbye to Daisy, but look what happened when I said goodbye to La Harpie in the previous episode. Let’s wait and see how things turn out!

La Harpie wins this episode! Lana saves herself! And I honestly do think that Daisy is the one going home this episode. The lip sync starts and I gotta say, even without understanding the words, I got a little emotional watching the two of them perform. And Nicky got emotional too, because she got on that stage and told them that nobody’s going home this episode!
