Ron Does Stuff

I don’t think I need to explain how behind I am on this. I am two episodes late, and a lot of you already know who makes it out of this bracket. But indulge me anyway, okay?

The previous episode saw Aura and Crystal take the lead for this bracket, with Crystal the frontrunner as she won the lip sync. Now the rest of the queens have to talk amongst themselves as they distribute their MVQ points.

After the congratulations and the congenial chit-chat, Silky tells the queens that she doesn’t want them to think that she’s a favorite who gets constantly invited to the show, because she’s worked just as hard as the rest of them to make her fourth appearance. After that’s done, the point distribution happens with Salina and April giving each other their points and Vivacious and Silky doing the same.

Back in the Werk Room the next day, April is immediately throwing shade at Silky, which I think she intends to be playful but is hitting a lot harder than expected. I thought it was funny, though!

Ru enters the Werk Room before April can do any more damage, and tells the queens that this week’s Maxi Challenge is them making their own how-to videos, on any subject they want. And even during this part of the episode, April is still throwing shade at Silky. Is this going to be a storyline in the final episode?

The challenge is a solo one, but the queens are grouped into two as they work on it because, duh, the production needs to film interactions. The ideas coming out from the queens are…diverse! Aura’s doing a “How to survive a zombie apocalypse” video, Vivacious is doing a jerk chicken instructional video, Silky’s decorating a cake, and April’s making tostones. A lot of cooking!

After a walkthrough where Aura reveals how she dealt with her father’s death by getting into drag, we get to filming the how-to videos, and Crystal’s already looks crazy just from what was shown. Aura’s, on the other hand, kababayan, you know I support you, but it did not look like much. But then again, we got so little from what was shown from every queen’s videos, so you can’t really tell which one’s going to turn out bad or not. Salina’s Chalupe, though.

In the Werk Room the next day, there’s alliance talk, and the one that looks the weakest is the one between Salina and Aura. Salina is too open with talking to everyone in the room and presumably making alliances, which leads Aura to doubt her and the pekpek alliance they’ve formed. Aura tries to rustle up some points herself, which leads to us getting that “good Judas” line from Vivacious. That should be a lot more popular online. Or maybe it is, and I just haven’t seen it yet.

Before we get to see their videos, we get to see the queens’ farm-inspired runway looks, and my faves are April’s, Aura’s, and Crystal’s. That Crystal look was hilarious. I didn’t like the visual of Silky’s outfit, but when she squirted? Toot! And given the backstory of Vivacious’ outfit — that story’s definitely been spread on social media — I think she did the best with what she had!

The videos start and… Crystal’s was funny! The fact that it reminded Ru of a video she made just marked Crystal for the win in this episode. I thought Salina’s video was funny as well, so maybe it’s going to be them battling it out. But after deliberations, it’s Crystal and Silky who end up the top two. Okay.

The lip sync starts, and I thought Crystal was willing until Silky pulled out the flags. I’d give her that; she did win that lip sync.
