We’re about to get a Daemon fight! Let’s get right into it!
At the end of the previous episode, Yuru has been transported to Asuma and his uncle, while Left is about to battle Ivan. The episode starts with the battle between Ivan and Left, and boy was I shocked to see Left get her arm lopped off. And then Right delivers another shock: Yuru and Asa’s parents are probably already dead, because he can smell their blood on Ivan’s sword.
Over to where Yuru is, Shingo — Asuma’s uncle — is telling him that he no longer has a place in Higashi, and that he’d be better off joining the Shingo clan instead. He’s trying his best to make Yuru distrust everyone else, and I can’t even blame Yuru if he ends up siding with the Shingo clan instead. Everyone has been lying to him. Shingo promises him that they’ll give him whatever he wants, but can they? Especially when Yuru tells him that he just wants to be normal.
Back to the Daemon battle, Left and Right are fueled by the smell of Yuru and Asa’s parents on Ivan’s swords, and they tell Dera to look for Yuru while they take care of Ivan and bring him back to Yuru as a gift. Luckily, Dera runs into one of the surviving bandits, who gives him a lead on where to look.
While Dera’s searching for Yuru, Left and Right continue to pummel Ivan, and I have to commend the animation here. Great work! Right when Left manages to land a punch on Ivan using her severed arm, one of Ivan’s swords notifies him that something bad has arrived. Who is it? Gonzo Kagemori and his two centipede-looking Daemons. He’s kicking butt, because those centipedes? Are just two of the many Daemons he has under his control. ALSO, I love that they’ve made a second exploited worker joke!
Back at the Kagemori complex, Asa doesn’t notice everyone leaving Hagure’s office since she’s so fixated on seeing her brother again. Bald dude Akio offers to accompany here, but Asa is aware that he’s hiding something behind his back. And what he’s hiding is a crowbar!
