I really thought I was going to catch up with this show by episode six, but life had other plans. I’ll just try my best to catch up!
The previous episode ended with a Dean and Moth kiss, so are we going to get the aftermath immediately, or are they going to be pussyfooting around it and only address it later in the episode?
While the kiss isn’t immediately addressed, we do get to see what happened before the kiss. Looks like Moth fell asleep on Dean’s shoulder while they were in the cab, which of course gave Dean time to gaze fondly at Moth. Moth got ~plastered~ on the cruise, as the subtitles tell me, and then we get the bits that we already saw in the previous episode. And then we get a little extra thing of Moth running down the stairs to catch up with the elevator Dean was on.
Now we get the aftermath of the kiss. Moth tells Dean that he needs to go out with him for 21 days if he really likes him. Dean asks if he can ~get inside~ after the 21 days, and Moth basically tells him that he’s going to be a free-use hole if that happens, but he said it much more elegantly than that.

And Dean definitely likes the sound of that!
However, once he’s back in his apartment, Moth starts to rethink his offer. He remembers his phone call with Punn, who told him that there’s more to relationships than the obvious sparks that are going to happen between Dean and Moth, and that Dean isn’t someone to get serious with. It’s also Punn who tells him that he and Dean aren’t going to last more than seven days
That reminder actually works in favor of Dean, because now Moth is going to be a free-use hole if they go out for just 10 days. Oh that bussy is going to be wrecked. Or maybe not! Because it turns out that Dean is going to dump Moth as soon as Ten has bagged Punn. Also, remember this bit from the previous episode?
William picks the next activity for their date, and he decides on an elevator photobooth type of thing? Of course, it’s the well-worn trope of close quarters and two tall guys crammed into it. It’s a classic!
Turns out Dean uses it with all the guys he goes out with. It is a classic, after all. And yes, I just quoted myself. And yes, I wrote William when what I meant was Dean.
On Day 1 of their 10-day ~thing~, Moth decides that the two of them are doing a…bath thing? I think it’s an ice bath thing, because the attendant tells them it’s going to be 10 to 15 degrees, and this is Thailand, so it’s not Fahrenheit. Since these are still men, after all, they decide to compete and see who can stay in the tub the longest. Moth tricks Dean so that he loses, but apparently, that’s a trigger for Dean because he starts to sulk. Whether this is real or not isn’t immediately clear, since it could all just be Dean skillfully manipulating Moth’s emotions.
On Day 2, it’s Dean’s turn to pick the activity, and he takes Moth to a lunch…with all of his other friends. Moth is not happy. He’s even more unhappy when he hears Dean’s friends talking bad about him in the bathroom, so this second date is a disaster as well. And at least I think Moth is much more sincere about his disappointment.
Their third date is at a dance studio, and when Dean complains that this isn’t what a date is supposed to be like, I have to question his playboy credentials. You’re given permission to be physical with your partner at a dance class! I wouldn’t call myself a Casanova or anything, but even I know that. We then get a speedrun of all the dates they’ve gone on, where it becomes really apparent that it’s just an introvert and an extrovert not getting along.
All of their frustrations with each other finally explode at an art exhibit, where they finally tell each other their frustrations. Dean thinks Moth likes these paintings and dance class more than he likes him, while Moth thinks it’s disgusting that Dean’s always surrounded by his friends that have all hooked up with each other. It’s the two competing schools of gay hooking up, because that does happen in real life.
Dean and Moth end their dates, and Punn would have found himself a way in if it weren’t for his speech to Moth about learning to compromise. Maybe he thought that it would make Moth start thinking of compromising with him, but unfortunately, he thinks about compromising with Dean instead. He really wants Dean to use his hole.
Moth heads to the club where Dean usually is, and of course, runs into Dean. Unbeknownst to Moth, Dean’s also had a heart-to-heart talk with one of his own friends, who wants him to admit that maybe he’s more into Moth than he’s been with all his other conquests. I think the friend calling this “falling in love” is a little premature, but that’s a nitpick.
The two of them sit down and have a talk like adults, and it’s so nice. Adults communicating with each other and not dragging things out like teenagers? They come clean about what it is that ticked them off about each other, and Moth comes clean about why he took Dean on those particular dates — it’s because Moth couldn’t do them before without Dean.
After their talk, the two of them spend time with Dean’s friends, and as Moth is about to head home, Dean asks how many days of dating they still have left. Moth says there are still three days left, but thanks to Punn’s speech about trusting his feelings, Moth is letting Dean ~inside~ now. Or at least, that’s what I thought was going to happen until Moth tells him to wait. For what?
